One of the things I loved the most about the Love You, Too release was all the flower stamp sets. I'm in process of using all of them because we all know flowers are my downfall. Love them all! The set I used for today's card is called Sweet Friend. Here is the image of the stamp and the die which are sold together or alone:
Not only do I love flowers, I especially love roses. Here is my card:
I first stamped the roses and leaves on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I also stamped the larger rose on masking paper. I masked it when stamping the smaller rose twice as they were slightly overlapping. I also stamped the bee on the top right. Next, I colored in the images with colored pencils. I would have loved to make this card with Copics and Watercolors also so I could try all three coloring methods on this stamp set. Maybe I still will ...
I die-cut the roses with the A2 Thin Frame Dies. I cropped it close so I could frame it drawing attention to the image. I used my favorite Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock that i use for almost every card I made (mix between red and pink).
I stamped the two sentiments with Intense Black Ink. I wanted them to really stand out, so I used my Misti so I could double up on the black ink. Last I added some Studio Katia Tiny bubbles to the petals. I also added some sparkling clear sequins.
This card was fairly easy and is perfect for thanking some one I love enough to spend two hours on hahaha. I so enjoy coloring that I would probably send it to just about anyone! Much thanks for visiting today. You made my day! Now I just sent it to you hahaha! Suzy
