Today I pulled out a stamp set that was purchased I believe last year. It's a 6"x8" stamp set called Floral Hearts. I think it is SO pretty! Here is an image:
I couldn't wait to use my colored pencils to color that gorgeous heart image! It is a bit bigger than a standard card size, so I increased my card size a little to fit the whole heart (5" x 5.75"). I also love the five sentiments with the really pretty fonts. I wasn't able to use any of them as I didn't want to cover very much of my hand colored flowers! Here is my card:
I stamped the heart on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored it in with colored pencils. This was the perfect coloring medium for this stamp since there are so many small little images. I needed very sharp pencils!
I made the background with the Detail Swirls Plate and white cardstock. I'm really enjoying these swirl plates for card backgrounds. I attached it to a turquoise card base that is 5" x 5.75" (to accommodate the heart size).
I cut around the heart and attached it to the top of the swirls angled. I tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Unicorn Twirl Twine tied around the heart making sure all of the colors in it showed. It is the perfect twine for this card. I stamped a sentiment from the Freestyle Flowers stamp set. I used yellow Sunshine ink and Intense Black Ink.
Isn't this such a pretty stamp set? It's called Floral Heart from Simon Says Stamp. Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you are having a good and crafty new year! Suzy
