Today is the release of the SSS February 2021 Card Kit called Love You Beary Much. It's all about LOVE and perfect for creating Valentine's Day cards. Here is an image of the kit:
The 6" x 8" stamp set is sold alone and is also called Love You Beary Much. You can buy dies to go with it as well or buy it as a bundle. There is a small 3" x 4" stamp set in the kit called Sweet Truffles. I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today, but I might have altered the rules a little. It is more of a "one kit, five ways" post although I did focus on the stamp set primarily. But I also used the smaller stamp set for one of my cards. How could I resist doing a "random stamping" card with all of those truffles?!?!?!
CARD 1:
My first card is a shaker card so I could take advantage of all of those lovely little Sizzix embellishments in the kit. I made the shaker window with the negative space from the Rainbow Heart wafer die. I then used strips of several of the patterned papers on the inside of the window. I filled the shaker with 4 of the 5 embellishments (I left out the fuchsia sequins).
I stamped the bear and the heart speech bubble with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock and colored them in with colored pencils. I cut them out (no dies for me darn!) and attached them to the top and bottom of the shaker window. I stamped the sentiments from the stamp set on them with black ink. I added some of the gold circles and little red heart embellishments around the stamped images.
CARD 2:
This card is my favorite. When I saw the little conversation heart stamps in the large stamp set, I immediately thought of this jar that is in the Light Me Up CZ stamp set. This jar is so perfect for lots of different things! I stamped it with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I then stamped the little conversation hearts with the same ink over and over to fill the jar. I stamped 3 of them on masking paper and used those 3 over and over to cover some of the hearts as I moved up. This way they looked like they were behind each other in the jar. I colored them all in with Copic Markers. I added a darker color to the edges and in the areas that were behind other areas so they looked shadowed and more realistic.
I stamped all of the little sentiments on all of the hearts in my jar with black ink. I outlined the jar with a gray colored pencil and added gray shadows to the inside of it with N2 and N0 Copics. Next, I covered it VERY LIBERALLY with the Glossy Accents in the kit. I was surprised with how much was left in that little bottle when I was done - I would have thought the entire bottle would be used on this! It dried to a beautiful glossy textured finish that is really smooth except for one bubble! I added a pink frame around the image with the PPP Notes and Things frame. I embossed a heart from the stamp set with Pink Peony embossing powder and attached that to the right side of the card. Last I added 3 sequins from the Mini Hearts sequin mix and sparkling clear sequin mix.
CARD 3:
For this card, I used ONLY the Sweet Truffles stamp set. I stamped all of the designs on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored them in with Copic Markers. I used a silver colored pencil over the gray Copics I used on the wrappers.
I used the A2 Thin Frame die to die-cut this piece so it fit on a pink card base. I die-cut a banner with the Word Mix 2 wafer dies from Metallic Paper and embossed a sentiment in white embossing powder. I added an additional sentiment above it to tie in the "sweets" theme using the stamp set in the SE kit called For My Sweet. I added 3 sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment banner. I have no idea where that white sequin below came from - it must have fallen on my card while I was photographing it!
CARD 4:
I made a slim-line card with the kit focusing on that darling dotted paper (my favorite in the paper pad). Because it is a 6x8 pad, I had to use two different pieces, so I overlapped them behind the rectangle so it didn't show. I covered a white card base (3.5" x 8.5") with the paper. I then used a white frame from one of the Hello Bluebird slim-line scene dies. I die-cut a white and red cardstock frame from one of the A2 Thin Frame dies. I embossed the sentiment from the stamp set, but I cut off the word love. Instead, I also embossed the large LOVE from the stamp set and cut it out to fit in the place of the other love. I wanted my embossing powder to match the patterned paper perfectly, but I didn't have just the right color. So I tried something new (that everyone else on the planet probably already knows about!). I mixed Wow Mango embossing powder with Pink Peony embossing powder for the lighter words. I then took my leftover mix of those two and added a little Carnation Red embossing powder to that. So the big love is a mix oof 3 colors and the pink letters are a mix of 2. Pink alone would have been too pink, but adding in some Mango made it just the right color. I will be mixing my embossing powders to create just the right shades from now on!!!
I stamped the bear stamp from the large stamp set and two of the chocolates from the smaller one. I used MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock and colored them all in with Copics. I cut them out and attached them to the bottom of the card. I tied some twine around the front of the card above the stamped images. Last, I added some sequins around the sentiment rectangle from the Mini Hearts and Be My Valentine sequin mixes.
I wanted to try out that Neon Paste that came in the kit. It was a little TOO bright for me, so I mixed it half and half with Texture Paste. I loved the consistency and the color was much better this way. I rubbed it over a piece of white cardstock using the heart stencil in the kit. I made a frame for the card with a scallop frame from a regular sized frame and a slim-line sized frame from Hello Bluebird. I colored the slim-line frame bright pink with Copics and then I left the other one white. I cut the slimline frame to fit along the edges of my standard size card gluing portions together to fit. I then attached the white frame over it. This probably makes NO sense why I did this so let me explain. I had made this bright pink slim-line frame for an earlier card and it was too bright so I didn't use it. I was excited to see I could finally make use of it on this card, but when I used it alone, it was still TOO bright for me. So I added the white one over it to tone it down.
I stamped the bear on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored it in with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn Doe ink. I attached him with foam tape behind him. I then added some sequins from the Mini Hearts sequin mix.
I just love this kit - I hope you do too! If you aren't a member of the SSS kit club, you can buy the kit called Love You Beary Much. You can purchase the larger stamp called Love You Beary Much separately or even purchase just the Sweet Truffle set by itself. I love that they sell the stamp sets by themselves! I hope you are all enjoying the new year because I know things have really changed and improved so far in 2021 (hahaha). Have a great week and thank you as always for visiting! xoxo Suzy
Where did you get all the sentiments to put on your candy hearts in the jar? I can’t find them in the valentine card kit. I’ve been looking for stamps to make a candy heart card for a long time.

These are ALL super cute! I love getting ideas from all of these cards. I have already made a few with help from the video on YouTube.
I think some people are confused about which kit this is, it is the "Love You Beary Much" kit, not the Valentine's Day kit.
