MFT had a release a few days ago and I wasn't able to participate in it as I usually do. I made a card today using the new Birdie Brown stamp set called Hug It Out. It is so adorable! Here is an image of the 6" x 8" stamp:
And here is my slimline card I made using it!
I stamped ALL of the images in the Hug It Out stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I have the matching dies, so I knew I would die-cut them all out rather than making a one layer card. I colored all of them in with colored pencils. They were so fun to color as they are just so cute and lovable. And we ALL need more love in our lives right now, right!?!?! I almost always stamp my images with this light ink color so they don't have outlines. But sometimes I think they NEED outlines after they are colored. I used a .05 Micron (so very tiny tip) to outline them.
I just purchased two colors of Distress Oxide ink I didn't have, so I used them for the grass - Bundled Sage and Shabby Shutters. I die-cut the grass pieces with the MFT Slimline Grassy Hills dies. I used the new MFT Rolling Clouds Stencil for the sky with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. I used foam tape behind the lower grass edge for some dimension.
I attached all of the colored images to the background using foam tape behind most of them. I had stamped multiple flowers, hearts, and grass, so I glued those in place as well. I embossed the sentiment with Pink Peony embossing powder on the top center of the card.
Anyone agree that this stamp set is just the cutest? I was bummed I wasn't able to get all of my colored images on there! I still have 2 left for another card. Thanks for visiting today and happy Monday - hope it's a great week for all! xoxo Suzy
