Hello any and all of my gnome loving friends! I had a set of Winter Gnome watercolor cards that were part of the Limited Edition Gnome Peeking Gift Card Kit at Simon Says Stamp. They are also sold alone. Here is an image:
I painted two of these with watercolors that I showed on THIS BLOG POST when the kit was released. Here are images of both:
Both of these were painted with Karin Watercolor Brushes. I love using different mediums on these cards (even though they are printed on Ranger WC paper, all coloring mediums work!). Today I have another one colored to share with you that I colored with Copic Markers.
I colored in this card with Copic markers as I stated above. I love that this paper is so thick, but smooth so it works perfect with any coloring medium. I left a white trader around the outside edges since the bottom is an enclosed snow bank. I then cut around the outside edges of the card. I mounted it on a white card base.
I stamped a sentiment using the stamp set that was in this same kit called Gnome Peeking. It is out of stock now, so I'm not sure if they will be getting more in stock. I used the end of a paintbrush to apply white acrylic paint around the card as snow flakes. I like using a paintbrush to dab them on where I want them rather then flicking them on and making a big mess as I have done many times! I used some Yellow Bird Nuvo Glitter Drops around the light.
I hope all of your December's are going well and you are getting ready for the holiday season. I am finishing my decorating tomorrow with the grand-kids coming over to help with the tree. I'm finally to an age where I can leave the ornaments all on the bottom of the tree where they put them and just not care! Plus this year, no one will see them anyway, so I really don't care haha. Have a great week friends and thank you so much for visiting! Suzy
