I made a Valentine today! Woot-woot! It was really fun! I know I should be all about the holidays right now, but honestly, I just want it to be Valentine's day so things are closer to back to normal. So now I am going to share that Valentine I made! SSS has a new stamp set with matching dies called Heart Animals from the Love You release. Here is an image:
I made a slim-line card so I could use all of the stamps in the set.
I made the card background first by cutting a piece of white cardstock into a 8.5" x 3.5" strip and then a 7" x 8.5" piece for the card base. This leaves a 1" strip that I always save for sentiments. I die-cut an SSS Slim-line Scallop Frame out of red cardstock and then pink cardstock. I used the inside piece by attaching it to the white card front. I then cut a piece of vellum the same size and placed that OVER the pink cardstock. I then put the frame on top of that. I liked the look of the vellum over the pink so it wasn't as bright.
Next, I stamped the three heart/animals with Intense Black Ink on white cardstock and die-cut them out with the matching heart die (I was so excited about having the matching heart die!). I colored the heart animals and backgrounds with Copics. I added dots on the backgrounds with a white uniball gel pen.
I stamped the sentiments on each heart with black ink. I also stamped a sentiment on a white Sentiment Label with black ink and attached that to the top of the card. I then attached the three hearts to the front of the card. Last, I added some sparkling clear sequins.
So what do you think? Anyone else in the mood for Valentine's Day already? haha Thank you so much for visiting my blog and have a Merry Christmas before Valentine's Day!!! xoxo suzy
