Today is My Favorite Things December 2020 new product release. They have another beautiful release that you can find right here. I worked with the Stacey Yacula stamp set and matching die as I usually do. This month it is called Tea Party and has all of the usual darling little critters. Here is an image of the stamp set:
I have a slim-line card to share with you as a regular sized card just wouldn't do as I couldn't fit all the cute images on one card!
I started by creating the background. I colored it with Copic Markers keeping the top half a very light pink and the bottom a basic beige color. I wanted it to be a soft backdrop and not steal the show! I usually use Distress Oxide Inks for backgrounds like this, but this time I tried light colors of Copics. Next, I stamped all of the images from the Tea Party stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I also stamped the rug from the Hello Bluebird Cozy Christmas Eve stamp set as it went perfectly with my scene.
I colored all of ht images in with colored pencils. I used two colors for the rug in stripes so it looked a little more decorative. I stamped and colored the banner twice. After all of the image were colored, I attached them to the background creating my scene. I used foam tape behind the top of many of the images glueing down the bottom portion to give the card more dimension.
I used Nuvo Glitter Drops over the banner flags and the hats, bowtie, and flower. I love how they dressed it up a bit! I added tea-cups to all of the critter hands. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set on the top of the card with black ink.

I love it so much because I use to have tea parties with my girls all the time when they were little, so it was a trip down memory lane!
