Today Simon Says Stamp released their 3rd Limited Edition Kit for the month! This one is a tag kit and is called Joy For You Holiday Tag Kit. Here is an image of the kit:
I created a "one stamp, five ways" post with this kit focusing on the stamp set called Joy For You (and sold alone). I have 3 cards and 11 tags, so I guess in technicality I did a "one stamp, 14 ways"! Here we go.....
CARD 1:
The kit includes the amazing embossing folder called Holiday Greenery (also sold alone). I inserted a piece of card size white cardstock sprayed lightly with water. After it was dry, I colored all of the raised images with Copic markers. At first I was trying to color it really neatly and stay within the imagined lines! But I kind of made a mess of that. So I decided to rub a Tsukineko White Shimmer ink pad over it with a pearl finish and rubbed some Golden Glitz and Rose Gold along the edges. This covered up a bit of the "messy coloring" and gave it a beautiful sheen!
I used the SSS Word Mix 2 dies for the large banner. I embossed a sentiment from the new Joy For the Season stamp set with Carnation Red embossing powder. I rubbed the same two ink pads on that and attached it to the top of the card. I used the SSS A2 Thin Frame Dies to die-cut the embossed piece so it fit on a red card as a matte around it. I added some of the red glitter Stickles in the kit around the sentiment.
CARD 2:
I embossed all of the snowflakes in the kit on a piece of Ranger watercolor paper with Wow Cloud 9 embossing powder. it is such a pretty color of shimmery glittery silver! I then watercolored around the snowflakes using Meteorite Shimmer Powder and storm Cloud Shimmer Powder. I die-cut the piece with an A2 Thin Frame die and attached it to a white card base.
I die-cut a square from white cardstock and embossed the sentiment with Steel Navy embossing powder. I attached that to the card front with sparkling clear sequins.
CARD 3:
I used a Ranger vellum shet over white cardstock for the card front. I used some of the washi tape in the kit on both edges of the card front. I wound the twine from the kit around the card front several times and tied it in a bow.
I die-cut a banner using the SSS Word Mix 2 smaller banner die die-cut from gold paper and embossed with white embossing powder. I attached that on the bottom of the card and added some Autumn Gold sequins. This kit allowed me to make a Christmas card in about 10 minutes!
TAG 1:
I embossed one of the large tags in the kit with the new embossing folder called Holiday Greenery in the kit. I wanted the designs to show more, so I rubbed the same two ink pads over it - Tsukinedo White Shimmer, Golden Glitz, and Rose Gold. I used the tape in the kit over the top of the tag since it didn't have the design embossed on it.
I used the large circle in the SSS Word Mix 2 die and embossed a sentiment from the stamp set with Antique Gold embossing powder. I attached that to the front of the tag. I added a bunch of Autumn Gold sequins.
TAGS 2:
The tag on the left was made with one of the tags in the kit. I made the tag on the right with packaging from the Tim Holtz vellum overlays. I ran it through the die-cut machine with the Holiday Greenery embossing folder. I used the two washi tapes on the bottom of the tag on the left. I used some ribbon from the last SSS card kit to tie a bow above the washi tape. I embossed a large snowflake with Wow Cloud 9 embossing powder and cut it out. I used a tag from the SSS Word Mix 2 dies and embossed a sentiment from the stamp set on it. I layered those on the tag on the right with a large gold sequin in the center.
TAGS 3:
I used one of the Tim Holtz vellum overlays on the tag on the left. I used the SSS Stitched Dress Up Tag die for the tag on the right and a SSS Large Tag die for the tag on the left. I embossed the sentiment on the right with this gorgeous red/gold embossing powder by Wow that I can't find anymore in the SSS store! I added some stickers from the kit on the bottom of that one. I used some of the red glitter Stickles on both of the tags.
TAGS 4:
Both of these tags were die-cut with the SSS Large Tag dies. I embossed the stamps from the stamp set with Ranger Teal Tinsel embossing powder on the front of both tags and they fit perfectly! I embossed a stamp from the kit that says to/from with white embossing powder on teal cardstock on the bottom of the tag on the left. I love this stamp and will use it on quite a few of my holiday tags. I using the SSS Word Mix 2 tag with Nuvo silver embossing powder on the tag on the right.
Just another image because the glitter on these tags in the embossing powder is so pretty! I glued that darling little wreath on the top of the tag on the right. It looks so cute!
TAGS 5:
I made these two tags with the Christmas Tree Tag and Outline Tag die in the kit (and sold alone). I die-cut it from several different colors of cardstock. I used the Ranger red glitter Stickles over the ornaments. The tag on the right was made with the SSS Fanciful Tag dies.
TAGS 6:
I made the tag on the left with the SSS Large Tag Dies. I ran it through the Holiday Greenery embossing folder in the kit. I rubbed some Speckled Egg and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks over the front of the embossed images. I embossed that sentiment on the left tag with Nuvo embossing powder. I'm not sure what the tag on the right was made with! I like the shape though. I used Nuvo silver embossing powder over the top of the tag (pressed it into the WOW embossing pad) and on the stars. I used Ranger Carnation Red embossing powder for the sentiment.
Like i said, I made these 11 tags and 3 cards with primarily the Joy For You Holiday Tag Kit, but I have SOOOO much product left. I could make a million more tags and i wish I had the time to do it for this post. I love using tag kits to make as many tags as possible for my Christmas packages. Suzy
