SSS Die-cember is HERE!!!

Every year, Simon Says Stamp has a die release on December 1st called Die-cember. They release so many cool dies that can be used all year (not holiday themes). There is SO much inspiration under each product if you visit their website. You can see the entire new release HERE. This image will show you some of the goodness!

There will be a 2 day blog hop on December 2nd and 3rd where you will see tons of inspiration using these new products. I'll be back with 3 cards tomorrow for the first day, so today I am only going to share one card.

This card was made with the new Snowflake Frame Dies. I think they are my favorite product in the new release! you can see the frame in the photo above and it also comes with several small snowflake dies. I love the size as they are small perfect for card backgrounds. I die-cut the frame first from Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust glitter paper. Then I die-cut a bunch of the 5 smaller snowflakes from the same paper. I attached the frame to a white cardstock card base. I layered some of the smaller snowflakes along the edges of the frame building it up for more dimension and texture.

I used sparkling clear sequins in the center of the snowflakes. Next, I used the SSS A2 Thin Frame dies (which I use for almost every card I make!) for the center of this card. One of the frames fit perfectly on the inside of the frame. I die-cut it from white cardstock for the frame and from watercolor paper for the inside. I painted it with purple and blue watercolors. I then embossed a sentiment from the Good Cheer stamp set with white embossing powder. I've used that stamp set on almost every one of my blog posts/holiday cards lately!
