Today's STAMPtember collaboration stamp set is with Tim Holtz. If you like cats, you are going to be a fan. If you like CRAZY cats, you will really be a fan! The stamp set is called Snarky Christmas and here is an image:
I love all the greetings on this set so it was hard to decide which one to use. I made a slim-line so I could use as many of the kitties as possible, but they are big, so I could only fit 3 of them!
I started with a 3.5" x 8.5" piece of white cardstock. I stamped the three crazy cats with intense black ink. I had to go black on these as there are a lot of black areas that would have been hard to color if I did no-line stamping. I colored them in with colored pencils.
I drew a basic line with pencil for the background and then colored it with Copics. I used light blues for the top and warm grays for the bottom. I kept it light since the cats needed to stand out on this card. I used a fine tip black marker to draw lines over my pencil line and some more lines under the cats with gray shadows.
I stamped the little star/snowflake stamp multiple times over the background with black ink. I also stamped the sentiment with black ink. I used a yellow glitter pen on the bells and glossy accents on the cat eyes and the lights. I framed it with a dark gray cardstock frame from one of the Hello Bluebird slim-line scene dies.
Very basic and easy card for those like me that love to color. I can't wait to see what the other designers did with these crazy cats called Snarky Christmas. Tim will be having a Facebook live tomorrow Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 PST so come join the fun party! Thanks for visiting and see you tomorrow I hope! xoxo suzy
