It's another collaboration stamp set for STAMPtember today between Simon Says Stamp and Honey Bee Stamps. Today's set is a 6" x 8" called On My Mind and On My Mind stamp and die. Here is an image of the set:
I made a shaker card with the set:
I started the card by stamping the wreath image on the top center of a card size piece of cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I then stamped the four little nuts randomly on the rest of the cardstock. I colored all of the images in with colored pencils. I die-cut the piece down with a rectangle die.
I cut the inside of the wreath out and attached a piece off vellum beneath the opening. I embossed the sentiment with Antique Gold embossing powder. I had never embossed on a transparency before and I wanted the sentiment to show up, so I decided to use vellum over my shaker. I ended up kind of regretting that as you can't really see the items in the shaker as well as I would like. Can you emboss on a transparency anyone? Thank you haha! Next I filled the window that you can't see very well with lots of fall colored sequins and seed beads. I ended up with a very unique card I think, but I definitely wasn't sure where this one was going as I worked on it!!!
Thanks for visiting today. If you are interested in the Honey Bee Stamps stamp set called On My Mind or the stamp and die together, make sure to act fast as each collaboration set is selling out very quickly and they will not be restocked. Have a great weekend and see you tomorrow! xoxo suzy
