I'm super excited to be part of the SSS special collaboration stamp sets for STAMPtember this year. I'll have a blog post up almost EVERY SINGLE DAY this month (not typical of me at all!). I hope you will visit regularly to see what I have created with these special exclusive sets. Keep one thing in mind - they go fast and they are only available while supplies last. Ok, now on to today's collaboration!
Today's collaboration is Simon Says Stamp and Studio Katia. I was unfamiliar with this stamp company, but these two sets they are releasing are some of my favorite florals ever. And my favorite thing to do with florals is no-line stamping and coloring with colored pencils. So that is what I have done today! Go to the end of this post to see a special promotion with these two sets!
My first card uses the Floral Bunch stamp set:
I stamped the Floral Bunch stamp on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored it in with colored pencils. This took a while, but I so enjoy coloring that I don't mind the time it takes! I embossed the sentiment from the set on the bottom using Ranger Leaf Green embossing powder.
I die-cut this piece with the second smallest frame in the SSS A2 frame dies (I toss the frame, but it gives you the perfect size rectangle for cards). I used foam tape behind this piece so it stood out from the card base. I added some Studio Katia Tiny Bubbles and some sparkling clear sequins to the front of the card.
My second card uses the Flower Bunch stamp set:
I stamped the Flower Bunch stamp on a card front size piece of white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I then colored it in with colored pencils. I added a sentiment from the set with a new embossing powder color I just got. I bought a 4 pack of Ranger embossing powders that come in really small containers as I have been looking for the perfect dark pink and it seemed to have one that I wanted to try. They are called Ranger Brights Embossing Powder Set. The color is Hot Pink and it is PERFECT! Now I have to see if they have a bigger container of it!
I cut this colored piece down again with the A2 frame dies and used Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock for the card base. I tell you this because it is also the perfect color for me - a mix between pink and red and not too bright. I use it for so many of my cards! AND, the embossing powder matches it perfectly! I again added some sparkling clear sequins and Studio Katia tiny iridescent bubbles.
