I absolutely love that Simon Says Stamp devotes an entire month to the stamping industry. It is the most fun time of the year for us crafters! Throughout STAMPtember, they will be celebrating every day posting exclusive collaborations, contests, prizes, special promotions, announcements, and more! Simon’s blog will announce what they have planned for each day. You can see the entire STAMPtember release HERE and it's a big one!
I have a new set of watercolor cards that are part of this release called Suzy's Even More Birthday Watercolor Cards. Last month I had a set of birthday watercolor cards and this month is the second set in that series. They are now printing 3 copies of each of the 6 designs, so you get 18 total instead of 12 for the same price! They are printed on Ranger WC paper and can be colored with any coloring medium. You can see all of my sets here. Here is an image of this new set:
Tomorrow, September 2nd is the STAMPtember Blog Party (read all the details on the SSS Blog in the am) and I will be sharing these six watercolor cards all colored and made into cards, so please come back to visit! Today I have one card to share with you using two of the new products, the Detail Ringlet Plate die and the Paper Hug stamp set. Here is the card:
I started by die-cutting the Detail Ringlet Plate Die from white cardstock - isn't it so beautiful? I die-cut it with the largest die from the SSS A2 Frame dies and then attached that to a black cardstock base. I'm still not sure that was the right choice, but I tried it on every color of the rainbow and couldn't make a decision, so I just went with black to get it finished!
Next, I stamped all of the images from the Paper Hug stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I created a rainbow effect on the letters to make them more interesting. This was each to do with pencils as they blended so well together. I fussy cut this piece and some of the little hearts out although there is a set of Paper Hug Dies that go with the stamps available. I attached all of the images to the front of the card. I embossed the sub-title on a black cardstock strip die-cut using the Sentiment Label dies and embossed with Ranger white embossing powder. I tucked that under the letters. I added some sparkling clear sequins to finish the card.
Here is another card that I made using the same Detail Ringlet Plate die in the background. I made this as part of my "one stamp, five ways" guest post on the SSS blog yesterday using the Spring Flowers 4 stamp set.
Thank you so much for visiting today and I hope to see you back tomorrow for our huge blog party that starts on the Simon Says Stamp blog! You can see all of the cards made with STAMPtember products here in this gallery. And the entire STAMPtember release is here. Have fun creating friends! Suzy
