Today is the Simon Says Stamp Lucky to Know You release. It's all about Spring products and I have two that I illustrated to share with you. The first is my new set of Watercolor Cards called Suzy's Spring and Easter Wishes. Here is an image:I will be part of day one of the two day blog hop that starts tomorrow, so stop by to see all 12 colored and made into cards. I also have a new 6x8" stamp set called Hello Easter with a set of matching dies (or you can buy them together). Today's post is a "one stamp, five ways" post using this new stamp set. Here is an image:
Because this is a 6x8" stamp set, each image is fairly large. You can see the scale of the individual images on my cards which are all standard sizes. Let's get started with my five cards!
I started by making the background with Ranger Watercolor Paper and Distress Oxide Inks in Broken China, Tumbled Glass, and Mowed Lawn. I flicked some water over it and that leaves the little white splotches. I die-cut a thin white frame using one of the Hello Bluebird scene dies.
I had an older banner die (not sure who made it) that I used for the sentiment. I embossed it with Wendy Vecchi Leaf Green embossing powder. I stamped all of the images on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I used black Nuvo Drops for the eyes on the sheep. I used glitter Nuvo Drops for the details on the umbrella. I used a silver glitter pen from the Kaiser Kraft set for the umbrella handle.
CARD 2:
This is my random stamping background card. I used just the two flower stamps and turned them every different direction for this background. I stamped them with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils.
I stamped the word Hello with white embossing powder on green cardstock. I used some Sparkling Clear Sequins, some Watermelon Jewels, and some glossy white Nuvo drops around the sentiment.
CARD 3:
For the background of this card, I used the Simon Says Stamp Diamond Pattern background die with white cardstock. I attached the die to a white cardstock base as I liked the white on white. I also die-cut a SSS Sentiment Banner die out of white cardstock for the sentiment. I stamped it with Pink Peony embossing powder.
I stamped all of the images with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I used Nuvo glitter drops over different parts of the images to "take them up a notch"! They certainly do make that big egg look cuter!
CARD 4:
This is my slim-line card which is 8.5" wide x 3.5" tall. I used Ranger Watercolor paper for the front of the card and painted it with Nuvo Shimmer Powders in Cherry Bomb and Falling Leaves (used very lightly with lots of water). I stamped the sentiment on the top with Leaf Green embossing powder.
I stamped all of the images with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I added Nuvo glitter drops again to dress up all the images. I used some glossy white Nuvo drops over the background.
CARD 5:
I used Ranger Watercolor Paper and Distress Oxide Inks for the background. I die-cut it with a stitched rectangle and attached it to a white card base. I used a sentiment from the new Bunny Butt Peek A Boo stamp set. I embossed it with white embossing powder, but I didn't think it shows up enough, so I outlined it with a colored pencil that matched the background of the card.
I embossed all of the images with white embossing powder on Ranger Watercolor Paper. I then painted them with watercolors using both Daniel Smith watercolors as well as my favorite Nuvo Shimmer Powders (more intense color). I attached them all to the background and added some pink Nuvo Drops.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed this "one stamp, five ways" post and the new Lucky To Know You release. Come back to visit on Friday am for day one of the two day blog hop! Thanks for visiting! Suzy
