Today is the second day of a three day blog hop for Pretty Pink Posh's 6th Birthday! The new release was live on the 9th, so just a few days ago. There is so much inspiration in this 3 day celebration from all of your favorite card designers (and mine!), a sale, and a free gift with purchase (details later on in my post). I have several cards to share with you today using the new release. Let's get started! I'll have all of the details of the blog hop at the end of this post.
My first card uses the free with purchase Ladybug Friends stamp set (it is not sold alone at this time). I stamped one of the ladybugs over and over topsy turvy (going every direction) in what I call my "random stamping" technique. I have a puzzle with bright colored ladybugs all over it, so that gave me the idea for a color scheme. I colored them all in with colored pencil and used a gray pencil to add shadows behind them.
I used a white uniball gel pen to add white lines on all of them as well. I stamped the sentiment on a stitched rectangle from the Mini Storybook 1 Die - the sentiment in the stamp set fits perfectly on it. I used white embossing powder on black cardstock. I added some sparkling clear jewels around the sentiment. I mounted the card front on a black card base.
CARD 2:
This photo shows all of the Valentine/Love stamps I colored. I'll be using some of these in my card below. All of these stamps together make such a pretty image, don't they? This really is my favorite release from PPP ever!
I made a background by using watercolor on the lower half and Nuvo Pink Carnation Mica Mist on the top half. I then put a Scallop Border with white cardstock between the two. I mounted all of it on a white card base. I stamped all of the images on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I used images from several stamp sets including the Love Stamp set, the Large Floral Hearts stamp set, Pond Friends stamp set.
I layered the letters for the word Love on the bottom half of the card. I used the large heart on the top of the card. I tucked a flower in the bottom center of the heart from the Love stamp set. I added two swan from the Pond Friends stamp set in the heart. I finished the card with some sparkling clear sequins.
CARD 3:
This image shows all of the birthday stamps and a few of the dies. I love having them all colored and ready to make cards with (because let's be honest - the coloring is my favorite part of this hobby!).
For this card, I used the same Pink Carnation Mica Mist on a Window Frame Die. I stamped all of the images on white cardstock using MFT Natural Ink (my go to) and colored pencils (my always go to). I seem to prefer the no-line look over black ink on most images. I attached the presents from the Birthday Borders stamp set at the bottom which had to be fussy cut out, but they were easy. I then tucked the window frame die under the top of the presents to use as a mat for my other stamps.
I used the two critters from the Party Friends stamp set over the scallop. I then stamped three of the sentiments from that same set in black ink around the edges. I used the confetti around other open spots. I also added some sparkling clear confetti sequins. I used Tonic Nuvo Glitter Drops on the presents and the confetti to dress them up.
Here is an image of my colored stamps from the Pond Friends stamp set. I can't wait to use these on a card as they are so incredibly cute! I did use the swans on the Valentine's card above as they go so well with all the Love products!
The free with purchase Ladybug Friends stamp set details are above. PPP is also giving away $50 gift certificates to six lucky winners from the 3 day blog hop. Here is the hop order for today:

So much cuteness in your work! I love all of of the coloring! The time you invested into the ladybug card definitely was worth it - all those colors & the accents with the white gel pens make that such a sweet card! I'm simply in awe of all your coloring, and appreciate that you share a photo of all the pieces colored before sharing your cards. You are very talented!
