Today the Simon Says Stamp February 2020 Card Kit was released. It is called Window Frames and here is an image of the kit:
I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you today using the kit, but primarily focusing on the stamp set in the kit. The stamp is also called Window Frames and you can purchase it alone. The die in the kit (which I used on all 5 of my cards and works with the stamp set frames) is called the Trio Window Die and is also sold alone.
Here are my five cards - please forgive the not so well lighted photos. It was "golden hour" which is usually a really good thing for photography. But not so much for cards as it just added a yellow hue to all of my photos and blobs of light reflections that I didn't realize were there until it was too late to reshoot. I'm a bit of a perfectionist!
The papers in this kit are by Polkadoodles and are called Timeless Rose (you can buy this 6x6 paper pad by itself as well). They are so pretty, so I wanted to show them off on this card. I used the Rainbow Heart Die from the Love You More release. I die-cut it from several of the different papers and then attached them to the front of a white card base. I used another one of my new dies called You Are Loved from the same release. Again, I used the patterned paper to cut out the letters so they matched the heart. I attached them below the heart.
I stamped several of the hearts in the stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored them in with colored pencils and added little white marks with a white Uniball gel pen. I fussy cut them out and attached them around the from of the card. I added some sparkling clear sequins to finish it.
CARD 2:
I started my card with a piece of white cardstock that I die-cut the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching die from to create a border. I then die-cut the three square die that is in the kit from the left side of the white panel. I also die-cut this die from the piece of heart patterned paper in the kit. I attached the white piece to the front of a card base and then attached the small squares inside each of the square holes. I stamped the different greetings shown from the stamp set in the kit using white embossing powder on the three squares.
I stamped the floral frame from the stamp set as well as several of the stand-alone plant pieces with SSS Intense Black Ink. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I fussy cut them all out and die-cut the three squares from the inside of the floral frame. I attached that over the front of the card and then tucked the little individual pieces under the frame on the right side. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment squares.
CARD 3:
I die-cut the three squares out of a card size piece of white cardstock a little left of center. I then stamped the heart border stamp with MFT Natural Ink around the squares. I also stamped some of the stand-alone hearts around the border overlapping some of the hearts from the border. I filled up the front of the card. I colored all of the hearts in with colored pencils.
I used the square shaker card tool that is in the kit that fits perfectly inside the die openings. I used the score-pal tape in the kit around the edges of the shaker tool. I filled each square with the hearts in the kit. I then covered the opening with a piece of red watercolored paper I had in my stash, but red cardstock would work just fine too. I attached the entire piece to a red card base. I stamped the "love you" stamp on the top right with Carnation Red embossing powder. I attached some of the small hearts around the front of the card.
CARD 4:
This card also uses some of the gorgeous papers in the kit. I die-cut my favorite piece with a large stitched rectangle die. I attached that to the card front. I die-cut three of the squares from another matching piece of paper. I also die-cut a card size piece of white cardstock with the same rectangle die. I then cut the two ends off so it was smaller and fit the stamp perfectly. I die-cut the square die from the center of this piece.
I stamped the floral frame over the openings on the white cardstock. I also stamped some additional plant pieces all on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I colored in all of the flowers and leaves with colored pencils. I attached the frame piece and attached the patterned paper hearts inside the openings. I then embossed "love you" with white embossing powder on the top and bottom one. I used a strip from the SSS Sentiment Labels die and stamped the two sentiments from the stamp set with black ink. I cut these pieces and layered a bunch of the little plant pieces around them over the center square. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the frame.
CARD 5:
Although I love the papers in this kit, I wanted to make one card that is totally my favorite colors. I stamped the balloon frame on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I die-cut the three squares die from the center of the frame. I stamped some additional balloons, strings, and confetti from the stamp set around the balloon frame. I also stamped three additional balloons and strings on white cardstock. I colored all of the images in with colored pencils. I fussy-cut the three balloons out.

Next, I created my shaker window. I used a transparency under the window and foam tape under the front of the card. I used several colors of sequins to match my balloons in the top and bottom window. I stamped/embossed the sentiment in the center window using Garden Patina embossing powder. I covered the three balloons with Tonic Crystal Glaze (just bought this and love it - a lot like Glossy Accents but I like it better). I attached them over the windows on the front of the card. I added some additional sequins around the card front.
That's it! I'll have two more blog posts in the next day, so watch out if you are on email alert - 3 in 2 days is a record for me. Hope you will visit to see ALL of the cards I've been creating lately. I've made over 30 in one week. I am planning on taking a much needed break tomorrow. Happy stamping my friends and thanks so much for visiting! Suzy xoxo
Love these cards! I especially like the last one, and wondered what you used to stamp the balloons outside the frame as I don't see any single balloons in the stamp set. Thanks!
