Today I have a Hello Bluebird birthday card to share with you (or should I say bird-day card!). I'll be using several HB stamp sets including Banner Buddies (small bird), Garden Friends (sentiment, large birds, musical notes), Field Mice (large mushroom), Strawberry Jam (worm), and Storybook Friends (small mushroom). For the background I used the Meadow Background cling rubber stamp. And last, for the banner I used the Vertical Banner Die. I love mixing up my products for HB cards as all of the stamp sets go so well together!
Happy Bird-Day Card:
I made the background of this card using the "In the Meadow" cling rubber stamp. I embossed it with white embossing powder and then I painted over it with blue watercolor. I added more color to the inside of the images so they stood out from the background more. I die-cut it into a rounded corner rectangle and attached it to a white card base. Next, I die-cut one of the Vertical Banner Dies from white cardstock and cut the top pieces off it. I attached that to the right side of the card with the banner aligned to the top of the background stamp.
Next I stamped all of the images listed in the beginning of this post using MFT Natural Ink for a no-line coloring look. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I die-cut them and created a little scene on the banner. I added the worm to the bottom left side of the card, just far enough away to keep him safe from the birds! I stamped the sentiment on the top of the banner with black ink.
This might be the shortest blog post I have ever done! I usually let a bunch of cards build up before I blog, but maybe I should blog one at a time as I post them on IG to save ALL of us time haha! Have a great day friends! Suzy (on the supply list below, I have linked all of the HB products to both SSS and to HB - the shopping bag is the HB links).
