Today is the first day of a two day blog hop for the new Pretty Pink Posh summer product release. You can buy the entire bundle HERE at a discount. I think I've used the entire release on this post, so all of the new products are listed in the supply list at the end of this post linked to both the PPP store and the SSS store.
Before I show you my new cards, here are two that I made for the product sneak with Tropical Toucans: (you can see the details of how I made them and additional photos on the PPP blog here)
And here are my three new cards using other products from the new release:
I love coloring flowers with colored pencils as you can do all of those little lines to shade them. I like the result better than coloring flowers with Copics. I stamped the new Hibiscus Flowers on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink.
I created the background for the card using the rectangle die in the Stitched Notes die set. I used the new Tropical Leaves stencil with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks on the inside piece and then I rubbed the same two inks on the frame.
I attached the flowers and leaves over the background and added a PPP Stitched Labels die with a sentiment from the Tropical Birds stamp set. I used Pink Blush and the new Flamingo Pink jewels around the flowers.
CARD 2:
To make the background for this card, I rubbed Tonic Opal Glimmer Paste over the new Triangles Stencil. I love how it turned out - these Glimmer Pastes are irresistible!
I die-cut the new Beach Scene Die from white cardstock and used just the frame of that die to frame the little scene. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass for the piece behind the frame. I stamped the images from the Tropical Birds stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and then colored them with colored pencils. I attached the palm tree and bird over the frame. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on a banner from the Stitched Labels dies. I used Pink Blush and Flamingo jewels around the scene.
CARD 3:
On this card, I made the background with the new Waves Stencil and Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I created the ground piece using the Stacked Edges 1 die and Distress Oxide Inks in Antique Linen and Wild Honey. I used a colored pencil to create little dots to give the ground some texture so it resembled sand.
I used the new Aloha Shaker Die for the greeting on the card as a big sun. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed to color it. I attached some Marigold Jewels over the sun.
I stamped the images from the Summer Surfboards Stamp Set and used a little boy from the older Summer Friends stamp set and sea shells from the Sea Friends stamp set. I used MFT Natural Ink and colored them all in with colored pencils. I used a silver glitter pen on the little boys glasses. I attached the images over the ground to complete the card.
