Hi friends! Today is the first day of a 2 day blog hop showing off the brand new Pretty Pink Posh product release for April. The products all went on sale at PPP on the 29th - you can see the entire release HERE. And they sell all of the new products as a bundle with 10% off HERE. The products are also in stock at Simon Says Stamp, so I have linked them to both stores at the end of this post. In the body of the post, they are linked to the PPP store. Ok, let's get started as I have 4 cards to share with you using some of my favorite new products!
CARD 1:
If you like to color with colored pencils, these Peony Stamps are irresistible. They were so fun to color! I started by die-cutting the Lattice Background Die from white cardstock. I didn't use a metal adaptor plate, so the pieces stayed together fairly well. I was able to transfer them to a cardstock card front that had adhesive on the entire thing so all the pieces were held in place. It think it looks beautiful in all white as a subtle background.
I stamped the Peonies on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink for no-line coloring. I colored them all in with my Polychromos, Caran d' Arche Luminance, and my Prismacolors. I used all these different kinds as I like each for different reasons (I'll be doing a blog post on which I use for what soon). I used a white Uniball marker on the edges of the petals and then dabbed it with my finger soften the lines. I stamped a sentiment from the Animal Signs stamp set. I used white embossing powder on black cardstock. I added some crystal clear jewels around the flowers upside down.
CARD 2:
I started this card with the same Lattice Background Die. I die-cut it again out of white cardstock and moved it carefully onto a white card base covered with adhesive. I then rubbed Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink over it with my new Picket Fence brushes (which are worth every penny I spent on them by the way - no more circles from the sponges by over applying too much ink!). I used a Window Frame Die for the greeting from the Elephant Friends stamp set. I used Lawn Fawn Blue Jay ink for all of the greetings on this card as it matched the Distress Ink perfectly.
I stamped the critters from the new Animal Signs stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and then colored them with colored pencils. I used two colors of pencils for each frame and then used a White Uniball gel pen in between the two colors. I stamped the sentiments from both the Animal Signs stamp set and the Elephant Friends stamp set. I arranged them over the front of the card and then used some of the new Cornflower Blue jewels around the larger sentiment.
CARD 3:
I was loving these little elephants from the new Elephant Friends stamp set, so I had to make two cards with them (this one and the last one). I also really like the new Wide Stripe stencil that is part of this release, so I used it on both of my elephant cards. I cut a piece of white cardstock the size of a card front (4.25" x 5.5"). I then attached the stencil over it taping it in place. For this background, I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink for the lines. I then removed the stencil and reattached it over the white spaces between the inked lines lining it up perfectly. I inked over it this time with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks. By moving the stencil, you can fill the entire background with inked lines. There is a very slight overlap where the two colors blend. I used a white cardstock frame die-cut from the Stitched Notes die around my background and then added a sloped ground using the Stacked Edges die.
I stamped the elephants using the new Elephant Friends stamp set as well as their little water spurts (which are suppose to look like they are filling the vase). I stamped the vase using the Father's Day stamp set. The balloons and tulips are from Elephant Friends and the yellow flower is from the Mother's Day stamp set. I colored them all with colored pencils and then attached them over the background. I added a sentiment from the Animal Signs stamp set using Lawn Fawn Hippo ink. I added a Cornflower blue jewel to the balloon and a few to the top of the pot. I added a Watermelon Jewel to the pink balloon.
CARD 4:
I created the background the same exact way as on the last card using the new Wide Stripe stencil and Distress Oxide Inks. This time I used Spun Sugar for the pink stripes and Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade for the yellow stripes. I again added a frame using the Notes and Things die. I added a Window Frame die to the center of the background by rubbing it with the Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink to match the background stripes.
I stamped all of the images from the Elephant Friends stamp set with MFT Natural Ink and then colored them with colored pencils. I added them over the background. I stamped a sentiment from the Animal Signs stamp set with Lawn Fawn Hippo Ink on a small white banner and tucked that under the balloon. I added some Pink Blush Jewels around the sentiment banner.

Your animal cards are absolutely adorable! Koalas are my favorite animals with elephants being a close second. If I remember correctly, giraffes are my mom's favorite. Your flowers are lovely and your coloring is fabulous. Definately can't pick a favorite card out of these because they are all great!
