Today is the MFT new release and one of the stamp sets in it is called Foxy Friends by Stacey Yacula. I did a "one stamp, five ways" post today using this cute stamp set. I have five cards to share with you. I've also used the MFT Scene Builder stamp set for a few of these cards. It works so well for backgrounds.
CARD 1:
I started with a die cut Inside and Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Die-namics (which doesn't seem to be sold anymore so no link!). Next, I used the Scene Builder stamp set to stamp the grass, trees, and clouds with MFT Natural Ink. I then colored them in with colored pencils. I was so happy with how this background turned out - I just love this stamp set!
I stamped the sentiment from the set with black ink on the top of the scene. I stamped the cute little fox with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I attached them to the background. I used some glitter Nuvo Drops on the flowers and the sky.
CARD 2:
I made the green portion of this card with Yupo Paper and Sublime Pearlescent Alcohol Ink. I just ordered all of the pearl colors as I am loving the ones that came with my last SSS Card Kit. I used a frame from the MFT A2 Rectangle Frames. The paper on the base of the card is also new to me - it came from the Lawn Fawn 6x6 Spiffy Speckles pad. I love it as it has each color with white speckles and then white paper with the color of speckles as I used here. I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.
I stamped the cute little fox with MFT Natural Ink and colored them with colored pencils. I also colored two of the grass strips from the stamp set. I attached these to the alcohol ink background. I added some PPP Shamrock and Spring Green jewels around the fox.
CARD 3:
This card was a bit of a pain in the buttox type of card to make! ha I started with the MFT Confetti Stencil Kit and used Distress Oxide Inks over it. I used a Scalloped Rectangle die for the frame and colored it with a Coral Copic Marker. I put a bunch of different colored sequins inside the window. I die-cut two Grassy Hills and colored them with Copic Markers. I used one on the inside of the shaker window and one on the outside. I die-cut the Birthday Wishes die-namic and colored it with a Coral Copic Marker as well. I attached that to the top of the shaker window.
Here is an image of the card with the sequins shaking all over! They were hiding under the grass in the first image above.
I stamped the largest fox on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and then colored him with colored pencils. I attached him to the top of the window and added some additional sequins around him. Whew - crazy busy card, huh?!?!?!
CARD 4:
I made the background for this card with the MFT Horizontal Snowdrifts die. I colored the inside pieces with Copic Markers for the grass and the sky. I then added some of the grass stamps around the edges of the green snow drifts. I embossed the sentiment on the top of the card with Wendy Vecchi Leaf Green embossing powder.
I stamped the fox with black ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I attached them to the front of the card over the grass. I stamped the clouds using the MFT Scene Builder stamps. I finished the card with some Glossy White Tonic Nuvo Drops.
CARD 5:
I used a die from MFT for this card that I can no longer find on their website -so I guess it's been discontinued. I attached it to the top of a watercolored background. I stamped the sentiment with black ink on the top opening of the die.
I stamped the trees and clouds using the Scene Builder stamp set. I stamped the fox from the new Friendly Foxes stamp set. I colored all with colored pencils and added them to the bottom opening of the die. I finished with some green PPP jewels.
Let me know if you have any questions on any of these cards. I've listed all of the products I used on the cards in the supply list below to both the MFT store and the SSS store (the links in the post above are to the MFT store). You can now purchase the new products from the MFT store including the Friendly Foxes stamp set! The new release is in the Simon Says Stamp store as well. I hope you enjoyed this "one stamp, five ways" post today. Have a great week friends and thank you so much for visiting! Suzy
