Hi friends! Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the brand new Simon Says Stamp Special Edition Card Kit called For all Moms. It is full of Mother's Day card making goodies for all types of mothers (including pet moms!). Here is an image of the kit:
You can see there are LOTS of fun products in this kit, but as usual I will be focusing on the stamp set. I didn't even use half of the images in it as there are quite a few possibilities in this 6x8 set which can be purchased by itself HERE! Here are my five cards.
One of the products in this kit is Pink Opal Nuvo Glimmer Paste. This stuff is cool! I had tried the white before and loved it, so I was excited to get another color - my favorite color no less! It works well over stencils and there are two in the kit. This polka dot one is in the Maggie Holmes fabric bags set. I attached it to white cardstock and used a putty knife to rub the Glimmer Paste over it. I noticed that it dries really fast also! I've used it in two of my other cards too because I liked it so much!
I layered three rows of the black and white dotted ribbon along the bottom of the card. I then used some of the white lace trim over the top two rows. I then stamped "mama" in black ink on a Sentiment Banner. I stamped "you are so loved" with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I layered them over the white trim on the right side of the card. I stamped the large flower (my favorite stamp in the set as it is really large and can be the focal point on a card) with MFT Natural Ink and colored it in with colored pencils. I attached that to the left side of the sentiment and added some of the sequins in the kit around the sentiment.
CARD 2:
The color scheme of this card ended up the same as the one above! This time I rubbed the Glimmer Paste over the other stencil in the kit called the SSS Bouquet of Roses Stencil. I first tried rubbing the Glimmer Paste on the black and white striped paper in the kit. But it dries somewhat transparent, so I didn't like how it looked over the darker paper. I die-cut the dried piece with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle.
I stamped another one of the pretty flowers on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored it with colored pencils. I attached that over a strip of the black and white ribbon on the front of the card. I stamped "It's Mothers Day" on another Sentiment Banner die with black ink and tucked it under the flower. I added some of the sequins in the kit.
CARD 3:
This was the last card that I made and it was getting really dark, so the photo isn't the best! I had some extra flowers from the Bouquet of Roses Stencil I had made with the Glimmer Paste on white cardstock, so I cut them out to use them in a different way. I used the butterfly paper in the kit as the background and then added a strip of the striped paper as well. I used some of the white trim over that for the background.
I layered the three flowers with a sentiment strip. I stamped the sentiment on a Sentiment Banner die (I use these for every card I make now since there are so many sizes!). I tucked two of the flowers behind it and one over the end of it. I die-cut a Stitching Butterflies die from white cardstock and used that as well. Last, I added some of the sequins in the kit.
CARD 4:
This dog is just SO cute so I wanted him to be the focus on this card. I started with a card size piece of the pink/white floral paper. I added as strip of the flower paper over it and then used the white trim on each edge of that piece.
I stamped the little dog on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored him in with colored pencils. I attached him to a stitched rectangle die-cut from watercolor paper. I watercolored some pinks on it and flicked some over it as well. I stamped "I love you" on the top with the blue ink in the kit. I then added one of the little word banners in the kit below the pup. Last I used some of the sequins in the kit again!
CARD 5:
I really liked this Bouquet of Roses stencil, so I used it again for this card. This time I drew inside the openings with colored pencils on white cardstock. I then colored those areas in. I added dots with the colored pencils around each shape.
I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set on a white cardstock Sentiment Banner die and used that along the bottom of the card. I loved how it reaches from end to end. I used some of the sequins around it again.
Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed these cards - this kit is a beauty! Have a great weekend friends! Suzy
