Pretty Pink Posh has a new Spring release that is now available for purchase (as of the 4th). You can purchase the entire bundle at a discount HERE. There are 5 new stamp and die sets, 3 new stand alone dies, and 3 sets of confetti sequin mixes. I've used three of the new stamp and dies sets on my cards below. There will be a blog hop on March 7th and 8th - I'm part of the one on the 8th and will have a few more cards using some of the other new sets. Here are my 3 cards:
Card 1:
This Peacock Friends stamp set is just beautiful and I don't think I've seen another peacock stamp set, so fairly original too! I used the two birds, but not the feathers on this card. I also used a set of leaves from the new Spring Wreath set. I made the background with a SSS Tiny Dots stencil, Texture Paste, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink - there are directions and details on this blog post about making backgrounds ahead of time (installment 3). I die-cut the bottom section using the Pretty Pink Posh Scallops Border die. I used Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron with a Ranger Blending Tool on it.
I stamped the peacocks from the Peacock Friends stamp set using MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock. I colored them in with colored pencils (both Prismacolors and Polychromos). I colored them with one color and then added little lines of several other colors to mimic the look of feathers. I used a black fine tip marker for the eyes.
I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set with clear embossing ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I added some Mermaid Mix sequins around the sentiment.
Card 2:
This is my shaker card made using the new Spring Wreath stamp and die set. I also used the older Birdie Friends stamp set for the little chicks - I actually think this was one of the very first PPP stamp sets ever. But first to that background - it is also shown with directions on that same blog post about making backgrounds ahead of time. I used Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks. I used a circle die to cut an opening in the top center of the background and mounted it on a white card base.
I stamped the images from the Spring Wreath set and Birdie Friends stamp set on white cardstock using MFT Natural Ink again. I colored them in with colored pencils. I attached the wreath over the circle opening and built it into a shaker card using foam tape. I used the new Easter Confetti sequin mix in the shaker window.
I tucked the three chicks underneath the wreath over the shaker window. I used two of the single chicks on the bottom portion with a few of the individual flowers as well. I then stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder. I used some more of the same sequin mix on the front of the card.
Card 3:
I love this card as it is just so Eastery!!! (which is not a word in case you are wondering)... This is another background I made ahead of time on my second installment of these blog posts HERE. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Shaded Lilac. The white dots are made with Ranger Resist Spray. I die-cut the grass using the PPP Stacked Edges 1 die (the area below the border die). I rubbed Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink on it.
I used the new Easter Eggs stamps and die for this one. I also used some of the single flowers from the Spring Wreath stamp set. I added in a large and small chick from the same Birdie Friends stamp set. I then added a bunny from the Woodland Critters stamp set. I stamped all of the stamps with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock and colored them in with colored pencils. I attached all of the images over the background arranging/overlapping the eggs first.
I finished the card by stamping the sentiment with white embossing powder and used some more of the Easter Confetti Mix sequins.
These were some time consuming cards! I hope you enjoyed them and they made you feel a little bit of Spring coming - it is just around the corner even though most of us are dealing with cold wet weather lately! Have a great week friends. I'll see you back for the PPP blog post on the 8th. I'll also have a Hello Bluebird blog post up tomorrow and a new release Simon Says Stamp blog hop post on the 8th. Thanks for visiting today! Suzy xox (Products I used on this blog post are linked below to both the PPP and the SSS stores).
