Today I have two Easter cards to share with you using the Simon Says Stamp Doodle Egg Cling Stamp. This stamp was released last year and I wanted to use it again as I just love coloring these detailed eggs! Here is an image:
I made two cards using it to share with you today. I colored one of the backgrounds and my daughter colored the second - so I had help!
Card 1:
I started by stamping the Doodle Egg cling stamp with black ink on white cardstock (I used a 6x6 piece). I then colored it in with colored pencils. I liked using pencils since the details were so small. I made a 6x6 card by cutting one piece of turquoise cardstock to be 6x6 and the other to be 7x6. I then folded the one extra inch over and attached the flap to the inside of the other piece. The eggs fit like this if I hang over the left edge. I trimmed off the extra.
I used the SSS Oh Bunny stamp set for the sentiment. I stamped it on a white stitched banner with black ink. I also die-cut the SSS Picture Book Lamb out of white cardstock and I colored him with colored pencils as well. I attached him over the banner. I have fallen in love with these little Storybook animals and now I want them all!
Card 2:
My step-daughter colored this one for me. She loves to color, so I make sure she is coloring something I can use when she is done with it! We stamped this one on white cardstock with black ink again and she colored it in with Copic Markers. It would be good to die-cut the stamp into a card size piece first so you don't waste part of your colored image when you trim it down! I die-cut it a little smaller than card size and then I attached it to a yellow card base.
I watercolored over a large banner and I stamped a sentiment from the same Oh Bunny stamp set with black ink. I attached that to the bottom edge of the card and added some PPp Marigold Jewels.
That was a quick post for me! I hope you enjoyed these little Easter cards. I'll have another post coming in 2 days using some new Hello Bluebird products. Have a great week friends! And as always thank you so much for visiting my blog! xoxo Suzy
