Hi friends! Today I have an exciting announcement to make for both ME and for YOU! I was asked to join the Hello Bluebird design team. I'm super excited as I was going broke buying ALL of their stamps from each release. And now I get them for free to design with to inspire YOU to buy them - heeeehehehehe. Now what is the good news for YOU you ask? I have a give-a-way of one of my favorite HB stamp sets at the end of this post. To be eligible, leave a comment on this post and/or on my Instagram post. I'll draw a winner and announce next Wednesday, February 20th. BUT first (I'm really in the mood to yell at you today with lots of caps apparently), I have three Easter cards to share with you using their brand spankin' new Spring release!
This card is made with the brand new stamp and die set called Spring Gatherings. I also used one of the brand new dies that I LOVE called Basic Borders Die. It has the usual type of border dies in it, but it also has one for each shape that makes a line. So what I did is I attached several of the lines up next to each other in multiple colors of cardstock to create this border on this card. I also die-cut a piece of what cardstock to be on top and bottom of the border. By attaching the bottom piece of white cardstock first, I was able to line up the borders without any problem. I used the frame from the Pond Scene die around the outside edge to hid the edges of the border dies.
I stamped the cute little images from the new stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink for a no-line coloring look. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I attached them to the top of the border. I added some Glossy White Nuvo Drops around the images. I stamped the sentiment on a speech bubble from the new Photo Stack Dies set. All of these new products are linked to the HB store as they are not in stock at Simon Says Stamp yet. I have also linked them at the end of this post to the HB store.
Card 2:
This card is made with the new Easter Egg stamp set. I used the Skating Pond Scene for the background. I love this die because of it's versatility. The frame works on many cards as it just outlines the card in the exact size of a full card. And then what is meant to be a pond works great as a grassy field as well. I colored my background with Copic markers. It was fun coloring and then re-arranging like a puzzle over the card base. I stamped the sentiment on a banner from the Stitched Tag Builder set using Wendy Vecchi Leaf Green embossing powder.
I stamped all of the little spring images on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I used Tonic Nuvo Drops in the center of all of the flowers, the butterfly wings, and on the egg spots.
Card 3:
I used images from the Easter Egg Hunt stamp on this card as well. I started with the new Basic Borders die and die-cut two of the scallops from green cardstock. I then attached them to a white card base. I colored beneath them with green Copic markers and then above them with blue Copic markers for a sky. I thought they looked cute as grass. I used a white frame from the Gallery Frame 2 die set around the scene to frame it and block off the edges of the border die and Copics.
I stamped all of the images on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I then used Tonic Nuvo Glitter Drops on the eggs and paint areas. I think the glitter really adds a nice look to them. You know I love my Nuvo Drops! I embossed the sentiment from the new Spring Banner Script stamp on the top of the background using Pink Peony embossing powder.
GIVE-A-WAY: Skating Party!
This darling stamp set called Skating Party can be YOURS (yes, I'm yelling) if you leave a comment on this blog and/or on my Instagram. As previously stated, I'll draw a winner and announce on my blog and IG account on Wednesday, February 20th. I am only giving away the stamp set, not the die. Because I ordered two on accident. haha Good luck to all and I hope you enjoyed these 3 Easter cards. Spring is right around the corner which means warmer weather - yayayayay. I don't usually have the right to complain about the weather living in Southern CA, but lately it has been raining non-stop. So I consider that complaint worthy! Have a great week and thanks as always for your support and love! Suzy xoxo
Products used in this post are linked below to both the Hello Bluebird store (doesn't show an icon in the white box) and the SSS store. The brand new products are not linked to SSS yet as they are not in stock there yet, but will be soon.

You know I love your cards, and I loved all the fab designs and colouring you did with these adorable images, so I am delighted that you’ve been asked! Less delighted that you’ll push me to spending more money, lol! But such is life ;-) inspire on! And keep yelling, no bother, as long as it’s from excitement ;-)
