Today is day two of the Pretty Pink Posh new holiday products Blog Hop. I hope you are getting really inspired to make holiday cards from all these amazing bloggers using the cute new products by PPP. I have two cards to share with you today using many of these new products.
Card 1:
This card uses two of the new stamp sets called Elegant Holly and Poinsettias. First, let's talk about that crazy background - I made it some time ago on THIS BLOG POST about making backgrounds ahead of time. It is just painted red watercolor circles. I was saving it for just the right card and then I used it on this one where most of it was covered - haha. I used a white rectangle die-cut from the PPP Stitched Notes die.
I stamped the poinsettias with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with Polychromos colored pencils. I kept them very soft and left the strokes showing. The Polychromos work more like regular pencils as they are oil based where the Prismacolors blend together more as they are wax based. I love the look of these especially when they are used soft as these are. I also stamped the Elegant Holly stamps with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I arranged all of the flowers and leaves over the white rectangle.
I stamped the sentiment from the Caroling Critters stamp set with intense black ink on a banner from the Honeybee Sentiment Banner set.
I tucked that under the flowers and finished the cards with some PPP white jewels.
Card 2:
This card is my favorite that I have made from the new products and it only uses one $8 stamp set! I used the Caroling Critters stamps, but I cut the critters apart so they were in groups of two. You can still use them all together, but this made them even more versatile! I used my Misti and randomly stamped them over a piece of white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink.
I colored them all in with colored pencils - both my Polychromos and my Prismacolors. I used a fine tip black marker for the notes or you could just stamp them with black ink. I added shadows behind each of the animals with a Copic marker.
I stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder on a die-cut from the PPP Stitched Label dies. I attached that to the top left of the card. I added some Watermelon Jewels and White Jewels around the greeting.
Here are some other cards I have made with the new release that are on two older blog posts if you want to check them out. The first two are made using the new Ornaments stamp set and were on the PPP blog HERE. The second two are made with the Penguin Pals stamp set and are on my blog post HERE.
Next on the hop is Lexa Levana. Here is a list of all of the participants:
There are 4 $25 gift certificates up for grabs (two winners each day). Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 11/20/2018. Winners will be announced on the PPP blog.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and I hope you are enjoying this two day blog hop! Have a fun weekend friends! Suzy
