Hi Friends! I have three FALL cards to share with you today using many of the Pretty Pink Posh new products. As you will soon see, I had a lot of fun playing with all of these products! Hopefully these will inspire you to create something yourself over the weekend which is National Card Making Day or something like that haha! Any excuse to create works for me....
Card 1:
This card uses a few of the stand-alone dies from the last release and NO STAMPS (that's a first for me!). I loved the Thanks Leaf Shaker die, so I used it as the focal point for the card. I also used the Small Stitched Foliage and Fall Tags dies.
To create the background, I used the SSS Medium Dots Stencil and Texture Paste. I colored it with a mixture of three Distress Inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Spiced Marmalade. I purposely rubbed it on messy so that some spots were not entirely covered and so that the entire card wasn't covered. I love using Texture Paste with stencils for backgrounds. I die-cut the Thanks Leaf Shaker die from both white cardstock and gold cardstock and I inserted the white pieces into the gold outline pieces.
I die-cut the Small Stitched Foliage leaves from both green and gold cardstock. I then watercolored some mixed fall colors on a piece of watercolor paper and die-cut some of the Fall Tags from that. I arranged them all over the background and added a flower stamp from the Autumn Wreath stamp set. I finished it with Jewels in Metallic Gold, Ivory, and Lemon Drop.
Card 2:
This card uses the cute new Pumpkin Patch Critters stamp set. I stamped them all with MFT Natural Ink and then colored them with colored pencils. I used white and black Nuvo Drops for the eyeballs on the little critters.
To create the background, I again used Texture Paste with the same mix of Distress Inks as listed on the first card (I had extra mixed, so I made two backgrounds at one time - don't like wasting my TP!) I used the SSS Tiny Dots Stencil for this one. I used the Stacked Edges 1 Dies and the Storybook 3 Dies for the background of the card and the texture paste dotted background under the dies. I attached all the critters and pumpkins I had colored and I realized I didn't have a good place for the sentiment! Lucky it was a small one in this set! So I created a little Flag with cardstock and Lawn Fawn Pink Lemonade Cord. I stamped the sentiment with orange ink and also rubbed some on the edges of the cardstock piece (went way back to the old days there!).
Card 3:
This is one of the many backgrounds I had in a container waiting for the chance to use it on a card. I had watercolored some yellow, oranges, reds and golds on a piece of watercolor paper. I die-cut a circle out of it to use behind the wreath to create an opening for the shaker window. I was originally only planning on using the gorgeous Autumn Wreath stamp set on this one, but I ended up cutting some of the pieces off of the Fall Scene stamp set to fit along the bottom of the wreath. I used the leaves I cut off the scene elsewhere by just tucking them here and there. All are stamped with MFT Natural Ink and colored with colored pencils.
I stamped the sentiment with SSS Antique Gold Embossing Powder along the bottom of the card. I used jewels in the shaker and some Tonic Nuvo Drops around the wreath.
I hope you enjoyed these 3 fall cards today. Living in Southern CA we don't get a big change in weather for the seasons. It ranges from 60-80 degrees almost all year where I live by the beach. So when we feel that slight cooling and the smells of fall - something changes in the clouds too - we get really excited. I do miss the gorgeous fall leaves we used to have in Virginia when I was a child! Enjoy your fall friends - especially if you actually have one! ha Suzy
