Hi friends! Today SSS released a new product line called Sending Sunshine! It is full of stamps, dies, stencils, and sequins. I have a new set of watercolor cards in it called Sweet Treats. I was dieting while I drew and painted these - I don't recommend that! I will be showing you the painted versions during the blog hop on the 17th. Here is an image:
Today I have two cards to share with you using two of my favorite new stamp sets. The first is called Wreath Greetings and it comes with a set of dies as well. Or you can buy them as a bundle here. Here is an image:
I made a card with this set - here it is with details on how I made it:
I started by die-cutting a card size piece of Neenah white cardstock with the Twisted Stitch Wafer Die about 2/3rds down. I used a piece of polka dot purple patterned paper underneath it and attached both to a white card base. I stamped the sentiment in the top center of the card using SSS Embossing Ink and Ranger Cactus Flower embossing powder. I absolutely LOVE the script used for the words in this stamp set.
I stamped all of the wreaths and branches from the stamp set on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink. I did two sets of them. I then used Prismacolored Pencils (keep them very sharp when doing this) to outline the stamped images. I also colored in the leaves with the colored pencils. I used various colors as you can see. It was an easy and fun way to color these images! I then die-cut them all out and layered them around the center wreath. I tucked them under each other so it was a really full wreath. I finished it with some sequins from the Pool Party, Flamingo, and Hello Summer sequin mixes (I love these SOOOOO much - especially the Pool Party one!). I also added a few 4mm Sparkling Clear PPP sequins.
My second favorite stamp set is called Spring Flower Burst. It comes with dies as well (which I didn't have so congrats to me for all my fussy cutting haha!) or you can buy it together as it shows in this image:
I made a VERY colorful card with this set. The flowers are kind of funky, so I felt like they needed to be colored bright and funky too! Here is the card:
I started with a patterned paper that was in the SSS May Card Kit - love that paper! I die-cut it into a stitched rectangle. I attached that to the front of a card base. I stamped all of the flowers on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I attached a stitched oval die-cut from white cardstock on the front center of the card. I stamped the sentiment on the front using SSS Hot Mama ink.
I attached the cut out flowers around the oval. I also used a couple of the branches from the Wreath Greetings stamp set. I added some PPP jewels around the flowers and in the center of each. I also used some Glossy White Tonic Nuvo Drops. It looks like I set another card on top of this one before the drops were dry too! Oops.
There is one more stamp set I want to show you. It is called Hello There and has four cute critters and lots of salutations. I made six cards with this set that will be on the SSS Blog on May 31st. Here is an image of the stamp set and some sneaks of my cards coming to their blog soon.
Lots of cute things in this release! I can't wait to show you all my SWEET TREATS all dressed up on Thursday. Until then, have a great day and I hope you will come back and visit for the blog hop! Suzy
Hi Suzy, LOVE your 2 cards, especially the 2nd one, love all the beautiful colors on that one, so pretty. I am most excited about Thursday's hop so I can see all your cards colored up, that is ALWAYS my FAVORITE part of the SSS hop when you do a set of your cards, I think I have almost every set you have done and I have made some really beautiful cards and even scrapbook pages with them. The only ones I have not colored up yet is the doggies, not sure if I am going to or just save them for my bulldog's Book's I do for her, I try to do a book just of her pictures every couple of months and I thought they would look adorable on those pages. Thanks and see ya on Thursday :)
