Today is day two of the Simon Says Stamp blog hop for their new Best Days release. I have two sets of watercolor cards as part of this release! The first one is called "It's a Dogs Life". I drew this set because I absolutely LOVE dogs and I have two myself (neither of which got represented here so don't tell them). I tried to include the most popular breeds so I hope I've included yours! Here is an image:
Here are 2 of the 12 cards I had a chance to color and make into cards. I'll be coloring the rest and doing a blog post with them in the coming week.
I colored both of these with Prismacolored Pencils. I liked the texture they gave me for the fur on the dogs. I painted the backgrounds with a soft wet on wet wash of watercolor. I put shadows behind the letters with a gray Copic Marker. And of course, I finished them both with Tonic Nuvo Drops!

I've colored/painted all 12 of these, so get ready for a lot of photos! I've really been into mixing coloring mediums lately, so the fact that they are all printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper means you can pretty much use anything on them. They print them on the back side which is like Hot Press watercolor paper and the paper is pure white which I love. I've used a combo of Copic Markers, Daniel Smith Watercolors, and Prismacolored Pencils on all of these. I finished them all with Tonic Nuvo Drops or Sequins.
