Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share using the new ADORBS BUNNY FRIENDS stamp and die set by Pretty Pink Posh. Everything they create is just so darn cute! I love Easter products as flowers and bunnies and all things spring are my favorites! This stamp is just perfect for Easter and Spring cards. Here is an image:
I made six cards with the set, but I am only sharing four of them today. I have two that are going to be on the Pretty Pink Posh blog, so I'm just showing you sneaks of the last two. Yes, I broke all my rules again!! The good news is that PPP released their products on March 1st, so they are available for purchase in both the PPP store and the SSS store. You can purchase their entire release HERE as a bundle saving some money! I've linked all the new products I used to both stores in my list at the bottom of this post. Ok, so let's get started!
CARD 1:
This little bunny in the egg was my favorite image in the stamp set, so I colored him three times for this card. Just a note: I stamp and color all the images in a stamp set before I start making cards. I always use my MISTI to stamp them all at one time on a piece of card size cardstock in first a light color of ink for no-line coloring and second a black ink. Then I color all images before ever thinking about what I will need. So often when I am making cards I end up having to mix some with outlines and some without - apology accepted? haha
Ok, back to the card...As you know this Window Frames die is probably my all time favorite for shaker cards. It just frames things perfectly. I die-cut that from the center of a card size stitched rectangle out of white cardstock. I then watercolored the piece under the window with yellow watercolor with yellow spots. I probably should have left the dots off - too much maybe? I created the shaker using foam tape and a transparent window piece and then used 3 colors of the new PPP gems (Pansy Purple, Aquamarine, and Lemon Drop) on the inside. I did make sure they were all facing upward before attaching the window.
I described the coloring process for the images above. First I color them all with Copic markers and then second I color them all with colored pencils. I'm addicted to this mix of coloring mediums right now. Also note that when I have no outlines, I often outline them with colored pencils as I just need some kind of border on images! I attached three to the front of the card. I then die-cut two Happy Easter - the individual Happy Easter Script die and the Happy Easter egg die. I cut the words out of the egg and then used the larger Happy and the smaller Easter over the window. I covered the letters with Tonic Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew (clear with glitter).
CARD 2:
Random stamping card! I stamped all of the images on Fabriano watercolor paper which left me with a cream colored background. I don't like it. I should have painted it or used Ranger Watercolor Paper which is a pure white - I have not found ANY other watercolor papers that give me a pure white background and I really prefer it to cream most of the time. I stamped them with MFT Natural Ink and then watercolored them and then added colored pencil outlines and shading.
I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on a stitched rectangle from the PPP Storybook 1 die using Ranger Forget-Me-Not embossing powder. I die-cut two of these rectangles - one from cream cardstock and one from bright pink cardstock so I could layer them on the front of the card. I then addd some of the new gems around the background of the card in all the different colors.
CARD 3:
Another one of my favorite dies by PPP on the front of this card - the Stitched Pieces die. I die-cut it from Ranger Watercolor paper and then painted the inside of it moving outward with a wet on wet technique. I attached it to a white cardstock base. I stamped the sentiment with SSS Embossing Ink and then embossed with Ranger Pink Peony embossing powder. I stamped it inside the center window.
Next, I used a bunch of my leftover stamped images in both no-line and black outlines! This was my last card so I just used up everything else I had colored in the top and bottom window. I finished with some more gems. I really washed out this photo - sorry for that!
CARD 4:
I love this Happy Easter Egg Shaker die - I die cut it from watercolor paper and then painted it with a wash of light blue watercolor. I also watercolored a white watercolor cardstock background with some blue paint to go under the egg. Not sure if this combo made the egg disappear too much on this card? I attached the egg die to the front of the card and this piece to a blue cardstock base.
Next, I attached a bunch of my no-line colored images to the bottom and top of the egg. If you notice a bit of pink on some of my flowers where it doesn't belong, it is because I overfilled one of my Copic Markers and it leaked all over some of the flowers. I refused to throw them out and start over, so I just used them! I finished off with some jewels using some in the center of the flowers on the egg die.
CARD 5 AND 6 SNEAKS:
These two cards will be shown on a PPP blog post soon. Paulina picked them as her two favorites, so they might be the best of the six - haha. Here are some sneaks! I incorporated the new Stacked Edges 2 die on the bottom one - love how those pieces line up! And on the first card, I used the new Decorative Egg dies.
Are you in the mood for Easter after this post? I sure am after making all these cards. The only problem is my favorite part of Easter is the candy - spicy jelly beans are my all-time favorite Easter treat. Oh, and See's chocolate easter eggs are a close second. BUT I gave up sugar and started a diet last October 27th to save myself from the inevitable 10 pounds I would have gained through all the holidays last year. After 4 months, I am down 28 lbs and very happy I am making these sacrifices. So sorry Easter, I'm not going to be able to enjoy you this year - but I did enjoy working with these darling products (a close second to sugar? nope! ha). Happy Easter friends and enjoy those jelly beans for me ok?!?!!? Suzy
The cream background on your second card gives it a vintage look, in my opinion (and of course on screen) :) I looked all your cards, but I think I like the first and second cards best !!

Suzy,
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this post! I was so enamored with your cards that I went and purchased every single stamp and die that you used! I even bought the egg dies that you used in your sneak peek! Thank you so much for the inspiration! I meant what I said about you being my favorite new designer! I can’t remember when I’ve been this inspired to stamp! Thank you for that. Hugs!
