During the last Simon Says Stamp release called Better Together, I had a set of dog watercolor cards. During the blog hop, I promised to show all of them colored. So today is that promised blog post! I have all 12 of these cards painted and colored, but I didn't make them into cards. I am out of town taking care of my mom who had surgery, so I wasn't able to get them die-cut and attached to card bases (except for 2 of them that I already shared). I hope you can identify all the breeds. This has been my most popular watercolor card set so far, so I'm thinking of doing a kitty set as well. I'm not much of a cat person, but apparently there are quite a few breeds out there!
Here is an image of the full set uncolored called "It's a Dogs Life" - they are printed on watercolor paper.
And here are the 12 cards colored. I used Copic Markers (which are on sale right now at Simon) on each for the dog. I then colored over them with colored pencils for shading and detail (and to make it look like there is fur). And then I used watercolors for the background. Of course I added some Tonic Nuvo Drops to finish! See if you can identify all of the breeds!
All of the products I used to color them are listed below. I hope you enjoyed this set! Off to start drawing some kitties! Have a great week! Suzy
You are amazing! I hope your mom is recovering well after surgery. Hugs!
