Hello to day three of the blog hop - I hope many of you are still hopping along to see creations using the brand new Pretty Pink Posh release. I've been on their design team for three terms now as they truly make the cutest products out there. I especially love their little people sets, so today I'm going to use the new Birthday Friends Stamp Set and Die Set to do a "one stamp, five ways". But before we get to my creations, lets talk a little more business! PPP has several specials going on for all orders placed during this 3 day blog hop celebration as shown here:
Here is an image of the free stamp set mentioned above:
At the end of this post (which may be very long so get ready to scroll fast if you want to keep hopping), I'll have a list of all of today's blog hop participants with links to each of their blogs. And now for my five cards!
To start, I die-cut a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper with a large stitched rectangle. I then pained stripes on it with watercolors. I flicked some paint on it as well. I die-cut the Love Shaker die from white cardstock and attached that to the top center.
I stamped all of the cute images from the Birthday Friends stamp set on white cardstock with a light color of ink for a no-line coloring look. Santa brought me a set of Prismacolor Colored Pencils for Christmas, so I wanted to try them out. I used them to color in the images. I then added outlines with a fine tip black marker. I used my glitter pens for some shading and details. I placed all of the images on the bottom of the card and added some PPP Sparkling Clear Sequins.
Card 2:
This card is so bright!!! I started with the new Party Time Sequin Mix thinking I would use them in a shaker, so I wanted all of my card elements to match them. So if you want a bright sequin mix, this is the one! I die-cut a small Window Frames die from the top of a piece of white cardstock card size. I then created a shaker window with foam tape and filled the inside with the sequin mix.
I die-cut the new Hello Friend Script die from white cardstock and then colored it in with Copic Markers that matched the sequin mix. I tried to blend the colors together as best as I could! I attached that to the bottom of the card front.
I stamped the cute Birthday Friends stamps on white cardstock with natural ink and then colored them in with Copic Markers. I outlined them and added details with my favorite glitter pens. I attached all of these images around the shaker window. I added some more of the Party Time Sequin Mix around the elements.
Card 3:
I ended up making TWO shaker cards! I started this one with a card size piece of Ranger Watercolor paper painted with watercolor stripes. I used a very wet flat brush with green paint first and then used a smaller round brush to add some turquoise to the top of each stripe while it was wet so the colors ran into each other. I stamped Birthday Wishes from the stamp set on the top of this background with SSS Island Blue Ink. I die-cut a frame using the Stitched Notes die set and put foam tape behind it. I then added Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix and Hydrangea Beads and Spring Green Beads to the Inside of the shaker.
I stamped the images on white cardstock with natural ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. I added details, shading and outlines with glitter pens. I attached them to the front of the card and then added some Lawn Fawn Aquamarine Twine to the right side.
Card 4:
This is my random stamping card - but this time I didn't use ALL of the images on the background. I left off the cute little kids and kept it just the accessories in the set. I planned on using one of the kids with the sentiment on top of the background, cut it ended up being so busy that I left it more simple. I stamped all of the images with SSS Embossing Ink and embossed with Ranger White Embossing Powder on Ranger Watercolor Paper. I painted them in and painted the background with Daniel Smith Watercolors.
I used a stitched rectangle from the Mini Storybook 1 die for the salutation. I stamped it with SSS Embossing Ink and embossed with Ranger Pink Peony Embossing Powder. I used a stamped balloon around the sentiment by cutting the ribbon in half. I added some turquoise sequins and a twine bow on the balloon to finish it off.
Card 5:
I used the new Storybook 6 die for the background of this card. I die-cut it from the center of a white cardstock base. I used Copic Markers to color around the edges of the openings with a light blue color. I backed the openings with a piece of white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment in the top right rectangle opening. I used SSS embossing Ink and Ranger Forget-Me-Not embossing powder.
I stamped the images on white cardstock with natural ink and colored them in with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I added details and shading with glitter pens. I outlined the images with a fine tip black marker. I then attached them all to the front of the card overlapping the background. I used some bright pink sequins to finish the card.
Next on the blog hop is the Copic Coloring Queen! I am always so impressed by her coloring skills and so glad she is now on the PPP team so she can teach us all - Mindy Baxter. Here is a list of the participants for today:
