Today is the second day of the Pretty Pink Posh Product Release Blog Hop and I am the last person, so if you are reading this, you have made it through all the inspiration (and hopefully this will be your nightcap!). Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using the new Winter Woodland stamp and die set. I also have a card using the new Wild Rose stamp set which I will be doing a "one stamp, five ways" post with next! No matter how much I love/adore/cherish/love/adore/cherish these two sets, the Sparkle Dot Patterns stamp set is just brilliant. I am so excited to play with that one - the option of using Nuvo Drops and sequins and glitter pens - oh my, so many possibilities. And I love that Paulina named it set 1 so we know there are more sets to come! Ok, let's get started with my cards!
Card 1:
For this card, I started with a full size stitched rectangle using Ranger watercolor paper (see how white it is? I love that!). I also die-cut a PPP Storybook 5 shape from the center to use as a shaker window. I painted a green watercolor wash around the opening. I added a transparency under just the top opening. I laid this piece over a white card base and I added the sentiment from the set to the lower opening embossing it with Versamark Ink and Wow Pink Lady embossing powder.
I die cut two of the smallest leaves and a set of berries using the new Festive Holly die set. I stamped the moose from the Winter Woodland stamp set on white cardstock using black ink and colored him in with Copic Markers. I placed a bunch of sequins from the new Berry Bright Sequin Mix and the Snowflake Sequins onto the card base and used foam tape behind the front of the card and placed it over the card base. I attached Mr. Moose to the top of the card and added some white Nuvo drops to the center of the berries and around the outside edges of the card. I finished it off with some more of the Berry Bright Sequins around the white nuvo drops.
Card 2:
This card is SO not my colors (bright pinks and blues as you have probably figured out), but these creatures needed a card made in woodland colors don't you think? I started with a large stitched rectangle again. Next, I used my MISTI stamp tool (the larger ones since things hang over the edge) to stamp all of the animals randomly on the watercolor paper with black ink. I do random stamping with items all topsy turvy and upside down. But with animals, I feel like they need to all be looking at me the right way, so I kept them all facing up. I painted them all in with watercolors and added some details with gel pens and a white uniball.
I die-cut the Stitched Pieces die and used one of the center pieces for the sentiment. I stamped it in Lawn Fawn Walnut Ink. I stamped two of the snowflakes on the sides of the sentiment in a light color ink and then I drew over them with a blue glitter pen. I attached that to the front of the card and finished it off with some more of the delightful snowflake sequins. I used white Nuvo drops in the centers again.
Card 3:
With all the gorgeous new sequin mixes, I ended up making two shaker cards this time. I started with a white cardstock base die-cut with a large stitched rectangle. Next, I die-cut the Window Frames die from the center. This time I filled the opening with the new Starry Night Sequin Mix as well as some Snowflakes and some of the new Gold Shimmer Beads. I stamped a sentiment on the inside of one of the Stitched Pieces die using Versamark Ink. I embossed it with SSS Steel Navy Embossing Powder (came in the last card kit).
I stamped all of the images using MFT Natural Ink for a no-line coloring look. I colored all the images in with Copic markers. I used my red glitter pen and a white uniball on the berries. I attached them over the opening. I used some more of the sequin mix and snowflake sequins on the front of the card and the window.

Wild Rose Card: (because I couldn't resist making a card with this set as well)
This stamp set makes me swoon and I can't wait to play with it more. I know it is called Wild Rose, but it reminds me of Dogwood Blossoms that are in the trees where I used to live in Virginia. I remember many trips to Washington DC in the spring where all the trees had these beautiful white and pink blossoms on them. So I painted mine to look like these flowers instead. I started with a piece of Fabriano watercolor paper (I brought out the big guns for this card haha). I stamped the images on it with MFT Natural Ink and painted them with watercolors for a no-line coloring look. I added some more pink and green paint to the background using lots of water so it is a light wash. I colored in the centers with the circles and stems using a yellow and brown glitter pen. I don't know what I would do without these pens - I'm seriously obsessed with them.
Although this is a holiday release, I'm so glad PPP released this Thank You die for use all year long. It is a must have. I love the size, the font, the shape, the way you can place the two words wherever you want. I die-cut it from green cardstock and placed it in the center of my card. I die-cut it twice and glued the two together so they are more dimensional. I've got to tell you about my new glue - it is SO awesome as it has a really fine tip for things like this. I had used Aleene's sticky glue for years and the tip was so thick and it came out globby and always had dried pieces in the tip. I just discovered this cute little bottle by Tonic (of course) called Deluxe Adhesive Glue and it works so perfectly, never clogs, has a super fine tip and goes on perfectly. I also use it to glue on all of my sequins and small embellishments.
I finished the card with my favorite new sequin mix called Berry Bright - it is sooooo perfect for floral cards as I almost always use some pink and these colors of green in my cards. I placed them around the sentiment. I tied some green twine around the top of the card (I left it really long just for the photo, but it got snipped afterwards!).
