Hello friends! I'm excited to be almost wrapping up two days of exciting inspiration on a hop showing the brand new Pretty Pink Posh product release. As you have probably seen by now, this is one ADORABLE holiday release full of stamps, dies, and some new awesome sequins! Today I have a "one stamp, five ways" post to share with you using my favorite set from the release, the Angel Friends stamp and die set. I have four cards and three tags to share with you!
Card 1:
I started this card with a stitched rectangle from Neenah White Cardstock. I then die-cut an opening with the Window Frames die set to use as a shaker opening. I placed a transparency behind the window and then used foam tape behind this piece (just one layer because the star sequins are flat). I painted a piece to attach it to with blue and pink watercolors to look like a sky. I filled the shaker window with Sparkling Clear Star Sequins.
I stamped all of the images with MFT Natural Ink on white cardstock so I would have no outlines. I colored them all in with Copic markers. I added the dots with glitter pens. After I was done, I decided I wanted them to have outlines, so I drew them in with a fine tip black marker (.05). I attached all of the images on the top and bottom of the window. I added some of the new Metallic Gold Confetti Mix to finish the card.
Card 2:
I'm sure people are sick of my random stamped background cards. But I do enjoy painting them, so I always include one in my five card variations (I'll try to come up with some NEW ideas soon!). I started with a stitched rectangle cut from watercolor paper. I use my Misti stamping tool for random stamping so I can align several stamps at the same time like a puzzle. I stamped these with SSS Intense Black Ink (which works with both Copic markers and watercolors - awesome ink!). I painted all of the images in with watercolors and added a light blue wash to the background.
I stamped a cloud from the Fly A Kite stamp and die set. I stamped the banner and sentiment on white cardstock with black ink and attached it over the cloud on the bottom of the card front. I added some more of the sequins from the Metallic Gold Confetti Mix. I added some Tonic Nuvo Drops in Gloss White and Copper Penny.
Card 3:
It's hard to see the background on this card, but it is a very softly inked overlapping cloud background. I wanted it to be subtle, so I applied the ink with a light touch. I used the two clouds from the Fly A Kite set again - this time I just die-cut both of them and then held them in place as stencils. I rubbed ink on the top of each cloud using two colors of Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar. I used the Ranger Blending Tool to apply the ink. I kept moving the clouds down and applying more ink again just to the top and sides of each. I die-cut this piece using the Stitched Notes Die set.
I stamped the angels on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored in with Copic markers again. I added outlines with a fine tip black marker. I added details with my glitter pens. I attached the banner and angels on the front of the card and then used some turquoise twine above the banner hanging down the sides. I used my new favorite glue by Tonic - it has a super fine tip and comes out in a really fine line perfect for twine. I applied some dots to just some spots of the twine handing down so it is looped. I finished the card with some Marshmallow Confetti Mix.
Card 4:
For the background of this card, I used the NEW Stacked Edges 1 Die set. First I die-cut a stitched rectangle full card size out of white cardstock. Then I used the scallop die from the set over and over to create the background. I thought it looked kind of like clouds.
I stamped all of the angles with black ink on white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I tucked them under the scallops so they looked like they were standing behind or on the clouds. I couldn't find a way to add a sentiment, so I just used the JOY angel as the sentiment. I attached some red twine to the top of the ornaments so it looked like the angels were holding them. I added some of the Metallic Gold Confetti Mix and the Sparkling Silver Confetti Mix to finish it. Last I added some Gloss White Tonic Nuvo Drops.
Three Tags:
I made these three tags with the Scallop Square Die Set. I die-cut them from watercolor paper and then applied a wash of watercolor to each using several colors. I first wet the entire surface and then dropped the color in (wet on wet technique).
I
I stamped each of the angels on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink again and then colored them with Copic markers. I added details with glitter pens again. I outlined each with a black fine tip marker. I die-cut some of the white clouds from the Fly A Kite die set. I added outlines to each cloud with a fine tip black marker. I stamped the sentiments on each cloud with black ink (I had to cut the sentiments apart to do this).
I attached the clouds behind each angel. I used some turquoise twine to hand the ornaments. I added some Marshmallow Confetti Sequin Mix to each as well as some Tonic Nuvo Drops in Golden Sunset.
I tied ribbon through a hole in the top of each tag. I think they will be perfect to use on Christmas gifts!
Whew - did you get through all that? These posts take forever to make and to blog, so that is why I'm not doing them as often anymore, but I do hope you enjoy them. I have a "one stamp, five ways" blog post HERE using the PPP Trick or Treat Friends Stamp Set. This stamp set definitely deserved the time it took as it is one of my all time favorites. I stuck to holiday cards since the set was designed for that, but I really want to use these angels for sympathy cards and Valentine's Day cards as well. I can just doodle my own sentiment inside the banner. Ok, on with the blog hop details. Just ONE more stop today to finish off the two days of fun:

And don't forget - there will be four $25 gift certificates given away to the Pretty Pink Posh store picked randomly from the blog comments on this two day hop. The deadline to be picked is on September 19th at 11:59pm. The winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh blog. Good luck and happy hopping to all - thanks so much for visiting! Suzy

All great ideas for the angel set. I love how the stacked edges look like clouds the angels are tucked in. Beautiful water color background on your tags.

The angel stamp set reminds me of my mother that I lost to Alzheimer's 2 years ago. She loved Angels. Even in her later stages she would go in search of angels at her memory card home she lived in. If anyone had an Angel figurine missing we all knew where to look. She would have them on her nightstand. Your cards and tags are so beautiful. Thank you
