Today I'm back with another card using the brand new Pretty Pink Posh products that will be up for sale on May 1st. I'll keep sharing until that date which means I better get my butt i gear and make a couple more cards! Today's card uses the two new floral stamp and die sets called Bold Blooms and Build a Bloom which work great together.
One of the things I love about these stamp sets is most of the flowers have both outline stamps and flat stamps for two step stamping. When I do this technique, I stamp with one ink color but use full strength for the outline (which I stamp first) and then I stamp the inside of the image on scrap paper first so it is lighter than the outline. For the stamps that didn't have inside ones, I used Copic markers to fill those in and added shading to some of the others. I also used my glitter pens to add some details and shading. I used all Lawn Fawn inks which are linked at the bottom of this post.
To make this card, first I stamped all of the images randomly on a piece of Neenah white cardstock full card size. Then I die-cut it into a stitched rectangle one size smaller than the front of a card using MFT blueprints 13. Next. I attached it to a purple card base. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Pieces die for the sentiment piece and watercolored it with purples and blues. I stamped a sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings stamp set using Versamark Ink and Ranger white embossing powder. I attached that to the front of the card. Last, I used some of the new Sparkling Clear Flower Sequins around the sentiment piece and on it.
Please come back tomorrow for another card and don't forget to check the Pretty Pink Posh blog for daily posts showing the new products as well. Thanks for visiting! Suzy
Oh Suzy, this is so fun! I adore all the great colors. Super tip on stamping the outline in full ink and stamping off for the solid stamp. Beautiful card! Hugs! :) Sorry I've not commented in a while. Sure wish your blog came up to add to my feed.
