Today is my first "one stamp, five ways" post for a while, so I had to pick a stamp set I adore called Some Bunny Special! This one is especially useful for Easter which is coming very quickly. The stamp set was released in the last Simon Says Stamp release called New Beginnings. There is a set of dies to go with the stamp set that is being released in the next SSS release on April 6th. Here is an image of the stamp set:
Today I have four cards and one tag to share with you and I stuck with my usual "recipe" so I did a random stamping card and a shaker card! So let's get started!
Card 1: Random Stamping
For this random stamping, I did things a little differently. I kept all of the images facing the same direction rather than having them go every which way! This meant I couldn't fit things as easily (like a puzzle), so I used lots of the smaller stamps to fill open areas up. I started with a stitched rectangle from Ranger Watercolor paper (using the backside). I used my Misti Stamping Tool to make lining the stamps up easier. I used MFT Natural Ink so I could use the no-line stamping technique.
I watercolored all the images in using my Daniel Smith watercolors. I then added details and shading using my Kaiser Craft Glitter Pens (you can see the silver when it is turned sideways in this picture). I stamped the sentiment on a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Banner Die and Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I finished it with some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.
Card 2: Shaker Card
I started with a stitched rectangle one size smaller than a card base (using MFT Blueprints 13) die-cut from watercolor paper. I then painted it with reds, yellows, and golds. I then die-cut a Pretty Pink Posh Scalloped Oval Die from orange cardstock. I attached the frame over the watercolor paper and then added a transparency behind them. I then built up foam tape to make a shaker card. I stamped the sentiment with black ink on a white card base to fit inside the shaker. I added three carrots and two stamped hearts to the inside of the shaker.
I used some of the new Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix in the opening for the shaker. I then attached the frame to fit over the sequins and sentiment. I stamped the bunnies and flowers on watercolor paper and painted them in. I added details and shading with glitter pens.
Card 3:
For this card, I used a new die by Simon Says Stamp called the Oval of Flowers Die. First I created a white card base and die-cut the die from the center of it. Then I die-cut it again from a piece of watercolor paper I had painted with blues and greens. I then attached all of these pieces inside the white card base (by placing a piece of white paper behind and attaching them over). Luckily I love puzzles! I stamped the sentiment with black ink on the top of the card base.
Next. I stamped all of the stamped images with black ink on Neenah White Cardstock and die-cut them out. I colored them in with Copic Markers and added shading and details with glitter pens. I attached them to the bottom of the card base and some of the hearts to the top around the sentiment. I added some PPP Sparkling Clear Sequins
For this card, I started with a large stitched rectangle out of watercolor paper and I painted with turquoise, purple and pink paints. I then used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Pieces Die from the center of this piece. It has three small stitched openings. I attached it to a white card base.
I stamped all of the images on watercolor paper with black ink and painted them in. (((Of course I added shading and details with my glitter pens). I placed them in each of the openings. I stamped the sentiment in the top opening. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Pink sequins to finish the card.
Tag:
I die-cut a tag using the Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Dies and white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on the top of the tag using two colors of Lawn Fawn Ink - JalapeƱo and Plastic Flamingo.
I stamped all of the images on white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I then die-cut them out and attached them allot the top of the tag. I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and twine and it was done!
I hope you enjoyed this cute bunny stamp set as much as I did! Remember the dies will be part of the release coming out on Thursday from Simon Says Stamp. We are on spring break this week, so our week is going to be great - I hope yours is too! Happy crafting! Suzy
Cute stamps in time for Easter. Love what you did with them. My favorite - the random stamping!! I like the way you kept the bunnies and things facing upright. I like any kind of stamping you do!!! Hope you are enjoying spring break! Thanks for sharing your awesome talent!!
