"One Stamp, Five Ways" - SSS February Kit Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa

Today I get to highlight the brand new Simon Says Stamp February kit called Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa. Here is an image of the kit:

It is sold as is or you can buy just the stamp set HERE or just the cute little coffee cup die HERE. I've used the kit today for my "one stamp, five ways" post - so I have five cards to share with you. 

For this card, I started by stamping the tea bag and tea cup images on white cardstock with black ink. I colored them in with Copic markers adding a polka dot pattern to the cup. I cut out a piece of paper from one of the double sided patterned papers and then stamped the sentiment on it like a little note. I die-cut a stitched rectangle out of white cardstock and another out of the striped patterned paper. I die-cut a scalloped border from the bottom of the white piece using the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Scalloped Stitches die. I then layered them on the bright pink cardstock in the kit as the card base. I layered my colored images on the white part of the card. I added a little sugar shaker from the sticker sheet in the kit. I also added a piece of patterned paper behind the note (cut out another note from the same paper as this is the back of that paper). I shaded below the images with gray Copic markers and added three sequin stars from the kit. Last, I added one of the adorable bow paper clips to the top and tied a little piece of twine to it.

This was my last card and it took me about 15 mins to make. That is one of the great things about using a kit - the cards come together so quickly. I started by cutting a piece of the patterned paper into a stitched rectangle using MFT Blueprints 13. I love the little doodled images on this piece of paper. I then die-cut a Lawn Fawn scalloped frame die out of the center of this piece and then another out of kraft cardstock. I attached the paper to a white card base and then the frame inside the cut out piece. I cut a stitched rectangle from white cardstock and attached that inside the framed piece. I stamped the image using Lawn Fawn Plastic Flamingo ink. I layered several of the stickers from the kit below the sentiment and added some of the epoxy dots around the images. Last I tied a piece of twine to the top of the card (only thing not included in the kit).

This was my most time consuming card to make, but also the most fun to make! I started by cutting a stitched rectangle (full card size) from Arches cold press watercolor paper - using this good paper let the colors run into the water and gave me the gorgeous effects you can get from good watercolor. I stamped all of the images in the stamp set with Versamark Ink and then embossed with Ranger white embossing powder. I then painted the images in with my Daniel Smith watercolors. I splattered some small brown dots over the paper. I die-cut a stitched rectangle from the Kraft cardstock and stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn Walnut ink. I added a small gold heart to this and attached it to the front of the card. The watercolor paper is attached to a Kraft cardstock base.

This card was another one that came together really fast. I started by die-cutting the patterned paper with a large stitched rectangle and attaching it to a white card base. I then cut out a Lawn Fawn scalloped edge frame from the Kraft cardstock and a stitched rectangle that fits inside from the white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn Walnut ink on the left side of the rectangle. I stamped the coffee cup with MFT Natural Ink and then colored it with Copic markers for a no-line stamping look. I die-cut the coffee cup from Kraft cardstock and shaded it with Copic markers. I layered the two cups on the left side of the white rectangle and then added the little sticker cup as well. I finished it with some gold sequins and a gold paper clip.

I used one of the patterned papers as the background for this card - I love how the paper pad has some simple patterns perfect for backgrounds. I also die-cut a Lawn Fawn scalloped edge circle out of another piece of the paper. I cut two strips - one from light pink paper and one from the corrugated paper. I layered the over the background and then layered the scalloped border piece over them towards the left side. I also die-cut a white circle that fits inside the frame. I stamped the cup on white cardstock with MFT Natural Ink and colored it with Copic markers adding some flowers to the inside (reminds me of an old cup my grandmother would have). I attached that to the center of the circle. I cut two little sentiment strips from the patterned paper and attached them to the right side of the circle. I added some epoxy circles around the images. 

These cards all came together in just about three hours from start to finish (and most of the time was spent on the one that was embossed and painted). Making cards can be so much faster if you have all the coordinating products packaged together so you don't even have to think about what will work together. I love the theme of this cute kit as well - perfect for those that love coffee and tea! Have a great week my friends and thank you for visiting today! Suzy

Happy 2017! I am a little behind on my blog reading! You have been busy. These cards are so cute! My favorite is the random stamping, as always. The paper backgrounds probably make the cards go faster? They are all really cute - as usual! Thanks for sharing your awesome talent!

Just catching up on some of your blog posts. This kit is absolutely adorable!! I love all the fun cards that you created with it!! I think I need to invest in the scalloped edge frames now!!
