I was so excited to be asked to be part of the Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop today as their products are some of my absolute favorites! Every single stamp set and die Paulina designs makes me giddy and I have to get my hands on it! She can't go wrong and that has been proven again with all of the newest products that are part of this latest release!
Today I will be showing you four cards using some of the new stamps, dies, and sequins. So let's get started! My first two cards use the new Blissful Butterflies stamp set.
To make this card, I used the new Blissful Butterflies stamp set as well as the Blissful Butterflies dies that match. I also used the new Stitched Hexagon dies which have three different sizes - I used the largest one to create this shaker window.
Here are the steps and supplies I used to make this card:
- Die cut a piece of watercolor paper into a stitched rectangle; die cut the largest hexagon shape out of the top center of this piece; watercolor with a light turquoise blue paint.
- Attach a piece of transparency behind this window; attach foam tape (I built up two layers) behind this entire piece; cut a piece of white cardstock to be bigger than this window, but fit behind the stitched rectangle; lay some of the sequins onto this white cardstock; attach the stitched rectangle over this piece so the sequins are all inside the window; I used three of the new sequin mixes including Iridescent Mini Circle Confetti, 6mm Wildflowers Sequins Mix, and 4mm Wildflowers Sequins Mix.
- Stamp the butterflies on white cardstock with black ink and color with Copic markers; for the solid images, use colored ink; I added black lines around the solid images and then use Copic markers to color in the areas without ink and to add shading; color all butterflies with a Wink of Stella pen to add glitter/sheen.
- Attach the shaker piece to a dark pink card base; attach the butterflies to the top of the card; stamp HELLO on white cardstock with black ink and attach that to the bottom of the card.
- Add some sequins randomly over the front of the card to match the sequins inside the shaker window.
This card is also made with the Blissful Butterflies stamp set. I also used the new Mini Storybook 1 dies and some of the new sequins.
Here are the steps and supplies I used to make it:
- Die cut a stitched rectangle from white watercolor paper (I used Ranger); die cut the Mini Storybook 1 dies from the top center of this piece; watercolor the outside edges of the stitched frame with with blue paint; also splatter some paint drops on the background.
- Adhere the frame and the inside pieces (left white) onto a lavender card base.
- Stamp the butterflies with black ink on white cardstock; color with Copic markers.
- Stamp the smaller solid butterfly images and the slashed lines with Versamark ink and emboss with purple embossing powder; stamp hello on white cardstock with Versamark ink and emboss with purple embossing powder.
- Attach the butterflies to the card as well as the word hello below the stitched lines.
- Add some 4mm turquoise sequins from the 4mm Wildflowers Sequins Mix (this is the best color blue ever) and some sequins from the Sparkling Clear Sequin Mix around the rectangle on the card front.
The next two cards are both made with the adorable Fox Friends stamp set and Fox Friends dies that match. I also used the Stitched Hexagon dies on both of these cards.
Steps and Supplies used to make this card:
- Die cut a stitched rectangle from watercolor paper (i used Fabriano); die cut three Stitched Hexagons from the center of this piece.
- Watercolor the background with reds and yellows; watercolor the hexagons with yellow paint.
- Attach the outside and the inside hexagon shapes to a yellow card base.
- Stamp the fox images on white cardstock with black ink; color the in with Copic markers; add some dots with a white Uniball.
- Stamp the flag image on white cardstock with black ink; color with Copic markers; stamp the sentiment on the center of the flag.
- Stamp the small heart stamp with red ink on the three hexagon images; use second generation stamping on some images so some are lighter than others.
- Attach the three fox and the flag on the front of the cards around the hexagon shapes.
- Add some yellow sequins from the Wildflowers Sequins mixes to the front of the card around the flag.
This is my second card using the Fox Friends stamp set and dies as well as the Hexagon dies. Here are the steps and products I used to make it:
- Die cut a stitched rectangle from white watercolor paper (I used Ranger); die cut a medium sized hexagon from the top center of this piece; die cut two of the smallest hexagons from the same white watercolor paper.
- Paint around the outside edges of the middle sized hexagon with blue paint; stamp some of the little heart stamps around this painted area with blue ink.
- Attach this outside piece to a blue card base. Attach the medium sized white hexagon shape to the middle of the card and the other two white small hexagons overlapping this one to the front of the card.
- Stamp some small blue hearts on the two small hexagons as well.
- Stamp the three fox and the flag on white cardstock using MFT Natural Ink; color with Copics so there are no outlines; attach the three fox and the flag to the front of the card overlapping the hexagons as shown.
- Stamp the sentiment on the center of the flag with black ink.
- Add some blue and brown sequins from the Wildflowers Sequins mix in both 4mm and 6mm sizes.
