Today I am using my ALL TIME FAVORITE stamp set by Simon Says Stamp called Favorite Flowers. It was actually the first stamp set I discovered and ordered and used by SSS. It is another one that is super versatile and allows for lots of fun techniques. I like stamps that have both outline images and flat images so you can layer and use them alone or together. I have quite a few projects to share with you today, but first, here is the stamp set. There are no dies to go with it, but the images are very easy to cut out!
I had made quite a few things with this stamp set some time ago, so some of these cards have been posted in the past. But I also made a few new ones including this one:
For this card, I stamped all of the flowers and leaves with Versamark Ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I watercolored over the top of them and added pink watercolor to the background. I stamped Love IS Everything in the center of the wreath. I added some twine in two colors to the top of the card and tied it in a bow. I cut this piece into a large stitched rectangle and attached that to a light pink card base.
For this card, I stamped all of the flowers and leaves on watercolor paper - again with Versamark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. I watercolored them all over the embossing and cut that piece into an oval. I added some clear sequins and glued twine around the outside edges of the oval. I attached that to a stitched rectangle I had also watercolored. I added a small tag stamped with the sentiment from the stamp set (cut for you off some of the other words so I could use them with thankful). I attached all to a white card base.
This is kind of a crazy card! I stamped all of the flat images first using Hero Arts Neon inks in Red to Purple and Chartreuse to Blue. I stamped them on Neenah white cardstock. I stamped the outline stamps over the flat stamped images using SSS Black Intense Ink and cut them all out. I layered them on a white cardstock base. I added a banner to the top and stamped "you are my favorite" on it using SSS Black Intense Ink. I added a couple more of the small flowers on each side.
I started this card by stamping a background stamp by My Favorite Things (that is no longer sold) using Versamark Ink on watercolor paper. I poured clear embossing powder on and embossed it. I painted over that with watercolor in yellows and reds. I then stamped three of the largest flower outlines in Versamark Ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. I watercolored them pink, cut them out, and layered them on top of the background. I then added a banner and stamped "Big Hugs" on it and added that to the top. I can't remember what stamp set I got the Big Hugs from now as this is one of the cards I made some time ago. I added some sequins and attached all to a this card base.
I made a lot of these cards using the same exact technique - embossing the flowers in white or clear and watercoloring over them. So yep, that is what I did again! This time I used a piece of Ranger watercolor paper (so it is extra white) and embossed the flowers. I watercolored each and added some yellow splatters. I stamped the salutation on the bottom and added some of the little swirls using SSS Black Intense Ink. I attached that to a pink card base and added some sequins.
This is just a large piece of Mixed Media paper that I did the same thing on and then painted the background blue. Like I said - same techniques as listed above!
Same techniques - formed as a wreath. I think this would be perfect with a quote lettered inside. I made this as part of my watercolor class at Big Picture Classes and it was part of my video in my watercolored flower lesson. You can sign up for two weeks for free and take the class any time as it will always be on their site. And you can learn how to do all of my watercoloring I use on cards!
Same techniques on tags. The first three use the Paper Smooches Gift Tags 2 dies. The last one uses the MFT Blueprints 6.
Sorry so much of this blog post used the same techniques, but this stamp set just looks so nice in white! My mom and cousin are visiting so I didn't have as much time as I usually do to make new projects. Thus many of these were made in the past for my watercolor class. I hope you enjoyed them anyway though! Like I said, this is truly my favorite stamp set - but one problem - I have used it so much I need to buy another set. I actually wore one of my stamp sets out finally! haha HAPPY WEEK to you all and thanks so much for visiting!!! Suzy
Fun...love all the colors!

Once again you have made a set of very beautiful cards - using one set of stamps. Do you ever do videos? Would be amazing to watch you paint! Love to see the finished products!
