HELLLLLLO FRIENDS! I cannot believe (CANNOT BELIEVE) it is the holiday season already. BUT since it is here and I cannot seem to stop time moving so quickly, I decided to get in the holiday spirit by creating a new holiday stamp set and set of holiday watercolor cards for Simon Says Stamps! Today they are having a new product release blog hop announcing a holiday mini release called #Fromallofus, which is full of gift worthy goodies for any crafter!
Here is an image of my new doodled stamp set called Peace, Love, and JOY:
I hope you like all these whimsical doodled images! They are the perfect size for holiday cards or project life cards. It has a couple of my favorite animals - dogs! I decided to include my Maltipoo Annabelle in this set. She is the little dog on the top right corner. It also has a tree and a snowman, some holiday accessories as well as some winter items. I drew the set so it can be used for either holiday cards or general winter themed cards. You can decorate the animals, snowman and tree with the holiday items or leave them plain for winter cards. I included some sentiments for both as well.
For this card, I stamped the presents on top of the weiner dogs back (perfect place for them, don't you think?). I used two of the sentiments. The Peace, Love, and Joy is die-cut with a scallop edged circle and then watercolored - I also added a doodled border around the edges. The other sentiment along the bottom is die-cut with a label shape and tied onto the card with blue twine. I colored the animals and presents with Copic markers and then watercolored the circle and the label.
For this card, I stamped the snowman, then masked him off and stamped the tree so it appears to be behind him. I drew the snowbanks and stamped Annabelle. I watercolored all the images in as well as the background. I die-cut the image with a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment along the bottom and added some sequins to look like little snowflakes. I watercolored the red piece and die-cut it with the MFT Blueprints scallop bordered rectangle. I then layered them on the card front.
I also doodled some holiday watercolor cards for this release. There is a set of 12 designs printed on 4.25" x 5.5" watercolor paper. They are perfect for card fronts. Here is what the set of 12 looks like:
I made a quick card using one of these images as the card front:
I painted the card front with watercolor paints. I die-cut it with a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die and attached it to another stitched rectangle the size of a standard card base. I watercolored this rectangle with blue watercolor to match the image. I added some Wink of Stella to the pink letters for shine, some sequins to the background, and some silver Uniball marker to the snowflakes. Such a simple way to make a card for a special gift!
And that is it for today. I can't wait to create more cards with these and will post these soon.
Next on the blog hop is Wanda Guess so keep on hopping to see the rest of these TALENTED girls creations' using the new holiday product release. AND if you leave a comment on this post, you are eligible to win a $50 prize package from Simon Says Stamp - woohoooo! They are giving away a prize package to one comment on each of the blogs in the hop - winners will be announced on Monday on the SSS blog.
Happy hopping - happy shopping - and happy holidays to you all!!! xoxo suzy
