Being the guest blogger at My Favorite Things is a two timing gig. Today is my second time this month to be on their blog. I had a great time making pretty things with their new October release. I'm so glad they asked me for Christmas time as it really has me in the mood for the holidays now (even though it is still 95 outside and I'm SO over the heat!). Today I am sharing this card on their blog:
I made this card with the ornament and the little bell from the stamp set I am so in love with called BB Santa's Elves. I love finding as many ways as possible to use a stamp set and I have really gotten my money's worth on this set! I die-cut quite a few of the bells and ornaments using 110 lb Neenah white card stock. I then stamped them with black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I used lots of different bright colors with 2 or 3 shades per color.
After all the ornaments were colored in, I used a Wink of Stella pen to add glitter and sheen to them. I then added some white dots with a white Uniball marker and a Gold Wink of Stella pen for the ornament tops. Last, I covered them with a thick coat of glossy accents and now I considered them pretty enough to make a wreath!
I formed them into a circle, overlapping them as I went and mixing the colors. After they were all in place, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to fill in open spots. It just needed one more thing to take it totally over the top! haha
Last, I added sentiment using the MFT Joyous Christmas Sentiments stamp set. I stamped it in Versamark ink and then used Red embossing powder on it. I wanted it to have some dimension and shine to be seen under that crazy wreath!
Next I made some more Christmas tags with some of the other items from the BB Santa's Elves stamp set I had already die-cut. I couldn't resist coloring and using one of the cute little elves one more time! All of these tags are made with the Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 4 die set. They have two of each shape so you can cut either the full size of the tag or cut the inside out to make just a border for the tag. All of these sentiments came from the Gift Tag Greetings stamp set which works perfectly with these tags.
I have this gold washi that has a really sparkly texture to it - I just love it. I thought it would be perfect for making the borders on the tags. I attached some to a piece of card stock and then die-cut the borders for each tag out of it. I also die-cut the circles for the top of the tags out of the gold paper I created with the washi. I die-cut the tags again out of plain white card stock this time and then attached the gold edges over the white tag base. I added the sentiments to the white tags and some of the die-cut items from the BB Santas Elves set to each to decorate them.
Here is a close up of the other two tags I made. Have you ever seen a Christmas Tree in these crazy colors? I hope you enjoyed this blog post and all these My Favorite Things creations. Thanks to MFT for having me as their Two Timing Guest Blogger! Happy Thursday friends and thanks so much for visiting! Suzy
So sweet!

Oh that bell wreath - what a beauty! I think it would also look good in gold or silver embossing. I think this is one that my 6 yo granddaughter could work on and have it turn out gorgeous. Thank you so much for this great inspiration.
