It's the FINAL month of the year and the final month of my design team term with Studio Calico! I wanted to wow you on my last month, so I tried something a little different this month. It's hard to find different things to do with project life as it is kind of a straight forward way of capturing memories - in fact, it was developed to simplify the process! So here is the crazy thing I came up with!
I just spent 10 days at my mom and dad's house in Utah. I took my two doggies and they have a cute little mutt too. So the three dogs spent all their time together and I of course took lots of pictures of their adventures. I decided it would be fun to scrap the week from their point of view and thus was born "A Week in the Life of Three Little Dogs". I was inspired by Tina's stamp set in the Grand Central add-on which has a small little dog face in it. I took the digital brush you can purchase HERE and blew it up BIG. It fits on an 8.5x11" canvas sideways. I printed it on cardstock and colored it in with Neocolors. I added a title and it will hang from a leash (of red ribbon) on the outside of my project life page. There was no ribbon in the kit, so I will be adding that part later (and just added one digitally so you can get the idea).
Here is a sneak of the spread with the dog face on the front of it:
I used the following Neocolors to color the dog face with: Bronze, Black, and Burnt Umber (along with a few other colors I had at home not in the SC shop).
I also decorated the back of it which gave me room for more journaling and photos:
Everything in these two sneaks and the next three are in the project life kit - it is very full of embellishments this month and has lots of colorful cards in it. Here are some more sneaks from this spread:
The next spread I made was using all of the project life kits - the Park City main kit as well as the two add-on kits called Grand Central and Lenox Hill. I decided to do a spread about our trip to the Color Run last May since the kits had so many bright elements in them.
For these bright spreads, I used the following Color Theory inks (all from the newest release): Flamingo, Lavender Soda, Lemon Zest, Clear Blue, and Lime Light. The Neocolors that I used (for the wood veneer) are: Pink, Turquoise Blue, Yellow, and Purple Violet.
I also wanted to use the project life add-on stamp set also by Tina (Life Love Paper), so I made a layout with it along with the 4x6 paper pad and some other elements from the three PL kits. Amazing what a different color theme this is from the others!
I colored the wood letters and the heart stamps with a Vermillion Neocolor.
I hope you enjoyed all these sneaks and let me know in the comments if you have any questions about what I used on any of them. Happy Thanksgiving and reveal day to all!
