It's almost October. Which is really strange in all kinds of ways. It's been about 90 degrees here for the past few weeks which might be why I'm not quite in a fall mood. It always seems like summer just rushes by to me and it is my favorite time of the year! The Studio Calico October kits are full of fall goodness. My name is Suzy Plantamura. I live in sunny Orange County, California by the beach. I have three kids, one grand baby, and two dogs. I draw watercolor cards and design stamps for Simon Says Stamp. I have a blog series called "one stamp, five ways" that I post to two times a week. I want to motivate and inspire others to use their stamp sets more and learn new techniques. A new Studio Class that has me VERY excited!
For years when I worked full time, I used a Franklin planner. Rather the Franklin planner used ME! It was my constant companion and I was OCD about filling it out daily. It never occurred to me to decorate it - huh?!?!?! But then again, washi tape didn't exist to my knowledge back then. When I quit my "career" to be a stay at home mom, I decided to trash the Franklin, the watch (yes, we wore them back then), and the suits and high heels for a flip flop wearing, carefree, unscheduled kind of life. A Summer Layout
The first day the girls were back in school (Thursday), I had SO many things I needed to do. Summer gets me so behind as I turn into an irresponsible human for three months. I was so intimidated by all the things on my to do list, I decided to celebrate my freedom by making a layout. Project Life Spreads of My Trip to St. George
This summer we went to visit my parents in St. George as I mentioned on the last post. I also mentioned that I don't get to go often (even though it is only a six hour drive) because of my health issues and my parents are getting really old and sick (82 and 88) and I don't get enough time with them! So this trip was really special to me. I am so incredibly happy that I was able to capture almost all of it in three PL spreads and some inserts I don't have pictures of.
