For years when I worked full time, I used a Franklin planner. Rather the Franklin planner used ME! It was my constant companion and I was OCD about filling it out daily. It never occurred to me to decorate it - huh?!?!?! But then again, washi tape didn't exist to my knowledge back then. When I quit my "career" to be a stay at home mom, I decided to trash the Franklin, the watch (yes, we wore them back then), and the suits and high heels for a flip flop wearing, carefree, unscheduled kind of life.
Fifteen years forward I've realized some of those rebellious decisions have caused me problems in my life that I never anticipated during my bonfire burning night of my 17 years of career life memories. I am known to be forgetful to friends. I hate to use the term flakey, so we will just say forgetful in a menopause kind of way. I can't wear high heels anymore because my back hurts too much from herniated disks probably from carrying my kids until they were ten. Moomoo's look way better on my thicker frame than a suit would today, but boy do I wish I could carry off those suits of the past. I never know what time it is, much less what day it is as I live my carefree (insert word careless) life.
I recently started noticing all of the Filofax talk on IG. I started stalking those that decorate their collection of Filofax's and I felt the urge to join in. I haven't purchased a Filofax yet - speaking of which, what the heck happened to Franklin over the years? I see the prices are higher and the choices of colorful covers are broader. But I'm determined to join in to get some order in my chaotic life. If YOU are reading this, which planner do you have? Which cover? Do you like it? Why? See, I'm stuck in the mess of Personal or a5 or kikki-k or filofax or Finsbury or Malden or .... It's like a whole planner lingo going on out there that I was blissfully unaware of.
So clearly I need help to catch up with the planner craze days. Or the days of the planner. Or keeping my days organized in a planner. Recommendations and where to purchase ideas would be appreciated. Which brings this ramble to the point which is in the title of this post - there is an SC class at just the right time to bring order to my new planner lifestyle!
