Living My Dream: MFT March Release Rewind Day One

Today is already the first day of the My Favorite Things Release Rewind where the Design Team gets a chance to inspire you once again using all of the new March product releases.

Today I made an Easter layout to share with you. I used lots of the new products including my newest set, Spring Has Sprung as well as some of the older products. I like mixing and matching all of the MFT goodies together.

This layout showcases our families lame attempt at getting a family photo on Easter day last year. Thane had just returned from a two year mission in Argentina (just three days before these photos). We were so excited to all be together as a family again and wanted a good shot. Having the dogs in the photos may have been where we went wrong. But even though they are not perfect, I love the fact that they are examples of REAL life!

For the title of the layout, I built a title block using several different Die-namics. I started with a stitched rectangle from the new Blueprints 13. I stamped the BG Patterned Triangles Background on it using Bubblegum ink. I layered two of the tags from the new Blueprints 13 set on top of it so one looks like a shadow. I used the new Bright Light Alphabet Die-namics as well as the High-Rise Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics for the title. I used the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namics along the top edge. I added a flower and a bird from my stamp set.

I used a speech bubble from the Smart Phone Die-namics stamped with "I'm All Ears" from the new Pure Innocence I'm All Ears stamp set. On the right edge, I added a border from the Die-namics Small Scallop Border that I sprayed with pink mist. I added a tab stamped with the word Easter from the LJD Embellished Eggs Easter stamp set from last year. For both of my stamped items, I stamped them first in blue and white and then stamped the words again in Steel Gray Ink so it looks shadowed.

On the bottom of the layout, I built this little Easter scene using lots of the new products. I used the bunny, basket, grass, and carrot from the LJD Easter Bunny set. I stamped the little Pure Innocense girl from the You're All Ears set. I stamped a dot border from my Sunny Day Doodles Borders and Accents set on her dress and then cut it out and placed it over her body with a pop dot under the skirt so it looked more dimensionalal. I stamped the daisy from my new set multiple times and added glitter to the images before placing them in the basket. I also placed one of the flowers in her hands over the carrot she is holding. I used a speech bubble for my journaling.

Along the bottom edge, I layered several border Die-namics. I used a stitched rectangle from the Blueprints 1 Die-namics set. I added a Small Scalloped Border Die-namic and a Jumbo Rick Rack Die-namic. I used the word Memories from the new Magical Memories Die-namic.
