Four more days until all of the new MFT products will be up for sale! Today, my new set called Borders and Accents was announced. I wanted to show it used in a couple different ways, so I have a card to share as well as a project life spread to share.
First up is a card that I made entirely with this set:
I started with a piece of SnoCone cardstock and stamped the swirly border stamp over and over on it to create a unique piece of patterned paper. I stamped the scalloped border in black ink on white cardstock and cut several out. I colored them in with Copic markers to match the background and then stapled them around the edges of the card. For the center of the card, I stamped LOVE YOU from my first set, Celebrate Life and one of the hearts from my new set. I used the circle from the new Let's Get Nautical Die-namics and stamped my circle doodled border around the edges. I just traced the circle on a piece of scratch paper. Then I attached the stamp to a block and bent the edges until it fit perfectly inside the drawn circle. I colored the sentiment and the circles in with Copic markers.
For the inside of the card, I used another circle from the Let's Get Nautical Die-namics set and then stamped "sweet little memories" from my Sweet Little Memories set. I love how this die-namic set can be used for borders as well as used for nautical designs.
I think this set of Borders and Accents is perfect for Project Life. There are 3" and 4" strips of each of the four border designs so you can add borders to pre-made PL cards or make your own. I made a project life spread using this new set as well as many other MFT products. I made this in a hotel room, so I had to take the photos using my cell phone. So please forgive my non-perfect photos. I'll show you one side of the spread at a time since I couldn't photograph is all together.
For the title card above, I used several MFT products. I used the new Die-namics Little Lowercase Letters and Die-namics By the Numbers. The banner is from the new Blueprints 12 set and the two borders are from my Borders and Accents set.
The Take Note is from LLD Journal It - Take Note stamp set. I made the Our Week card using a sentiment from my first set, Celebrate Life and a border from my new set Borders and Accents.
I made the "San Diego ZOO" card using the new BG Cheetah Background stamp. I again used the new Die-namics Little Lowercase Letters and the Die-namics High-Rise Alphabet Uppercase.
I had a little fun making this card on the upper left side. I started with some smooth white cardstock. I stamped a cloud from the WBD It's a Pirates Life randomly using gray ink. I then colored on the background outside the clouds with Copic markers. I outlined the clouds one more time with a black fine tip marker. Next, I took a 3x4 pieces of yellow patterned paper and built a little tree using the Die-namics Sheltering Tree & Leaf Trio. I finished it off with a border from my new set colored in with Copic markers. I stamped the quote using my Be Your Best Self set on a white 3x4 card. I added two borders from my new set on the sides of the quote and colored them in with Copic markers.
I loved the way the borders from my set looked around the panda bear photo - that little baby panda was SO cute! I added a heart die and a flower and swirl from my new favorite set called Die-namics Jumbo Party Hat.
I made the card on the right using a Stitched Circle-Stax Die-namic. I stamped the "take note" stamp from my first set, Celebrate Life. I then used the circles from my new set Borders and Accents to decorate it in yellow ink. I also added a border from my new set.
Whew - that was a lot to get through. I apologize again for my merky photos. I'm such a perfectionist about photos! All of the new products will be ready for purchase on the MFT website on February 11th at 7:00 pm pst. Don't forget to visit all of the DT members blogs to see all of their creations using today's announced products. Thanks for visiting! Suzy
