Today is the day! I get so excited when the week of previews winds up and all the items go up for sale! But before you go to the MFT website to shop, I want to show you a couple of projects I made today using my new stamp set Sunny Day Doodles - Love It!
I used a lot of product on this layout and it was really fun to put together! I started with a 12x12 piece of turquoise cardstock and then used the Graduated Dots stencil with some white mist on the background. I also used some white mist dots here and there. I used Sweet Tooth ink with the zig zag stitching stamp from the LJD Hearts and Stitches set. I love how you can bend it before stamping for a wavy look.
I used one of the LOVELY new rose Die-namics from the Rose with Overlay set. I also used some of the gorgeous Delicate Doilies Die-namics set that is free with a $60 order!
I used the "love you so much" sentiment from my new Sunny Day Doodles Love It set. I stamped it on a piece of 3x4 Notebook Paper Die-namics. I colored it in with Copics and added one of the little roses and hearts. The tiny little "xoxoxoxo" is from the LJD Love's the Ticket stamp set.
I used some of the cute new Staggered Heart Borders. The arrow is from the LLD Lead the Way Die-namic set. The "today" is from the NEW Blueprints 11 Die-namics set.
Next, I made a card also using my new stamp set, Love It! I think I've already mentioned this week that I LOVE pink. Here is some more evidence of that fact!
I used the Hugs and Kisses Die-namic along the bottom edge and misted over it. I misted over the Swiss Dot Stencil on the top of the card and then covered that with vellum. I added one of my favorite borders - the Looped Border Die-namic.
I stamped the "you make my heart sing" sentiment on an oval from the Pierced Oval Stax Die-namic set. I added some outlines, but didn't color it in as I wanted to see if I could use my stamps in a more elegant way. I think this works??? I also added some pink mist to the top of the oval and attached sequins around it. More pink. Yum.
On the inside of the card, I used the "always and forever" stamp from my set and added an outline around it. I then put one of the roses from the Rose with Overlap Die-namics above the sentiment. I used a mini heart from LJD Love's the Ticket stamp set. And last, I misted over the whole thing and tied some twine around the front edge. Again, I didn't color in the text as I wanted to make it more elegant. If that is possible with my doodles!
Whew - that was a lot of images and I hope you made it this far! Don't forget to check out all of the DT blogs today and leave a comment. All comments on each DT blog and my blog will give you a chance to win one of two $100 gift certificate to the MFT store! Yes, that deserved to be written in pink! The winner will be announced on the MFT blog Friday, January 10th. And with that ... Happy Shopping! suzy
