Another Layout to Share

I made TWO layouts in the past two days which is unheard of for me. Not because it takes me longer than two days to make two layouts, but because I never scrapbook anymore unless it is for an assignment. I need to rectify this as it was so fun to just do it for me. I made this layout with the Studio Calico Copper Mountain Scrapbook kit. I used the SAME exact kit on the layout I posted yesterday, so it's crazy how completely different they look. I MADE A LAYOUT!!!

I actually made time to make a layout today. I am now a Studio Calico subscriber to their scrapbook kits each month. So I really wanted to make sure I use the kits as they come and not just file them away. Today, I used the Copper Mountian Scrapbook kit to make this layout and it took exactly one hour and fifteen minutes of my time - NOT BAD I SAY! (((I should do this more often))). For the background of my layout, I could have used the white cardstock that came with the kit, but instead I used a piece of 12x12 thick letterpress paper which is perfect for watercoloring. Wanderlust is IN 'DA HOUSE!

I've been waiting for the Wanderlust line to arrive at Studio Calico since I saw it at CHA. It is lovely. It evokes a mix of emotions ranging from lust to adventure to wanting to wander or escape from reality (gag, cough, gag). It really IS a lovely line and Shanna Noel did an amazing job on it! Monogram Madness

I have been making monograms all day and I LOVE IT! This has been my very first time to use my Letterpress supplies. I admit to being very intimidated by this process for the past few months. So much so that I let my supplies just sit there on the floor collecting dust. But one of the advantages of being on the Studio Calico design team, is they occassionally send you a new product to "try out". It's Sugar-Rush reveal day at Studio Calico! I worked with the project life kit as well as the card kits this month. I also used the adorable add-on stamp set called Lollies and lots of the digital products. Studio Calico Sugar-Rush Sneaks

I can't believe tomorrow is the Studio Calico Reveal already - and it's a GOOD one! I've always been a big fan of sugar, but I don't know if it's ever given me the rush the Sugar-Rush kits have! (haha). This month's kits are full of color and fun, unique, one of a kind embellishments! New Studio Calico Class that ROCKS!!!

I LOVE the Studio Calico classes - they offer such an array of topics and they always teach you new techniques while inspiring you to create. But no matter how amazing all of their classes have been in the past, the February class will just ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF (excuse my lingo - I have two young teen girls who rub off on me as ugly as it is coming from a 50 year old!). Release Rewind Day 2

Today is the second day of the My Favorite Things Release Rewind where the DT shows all of the new products that were released in use again. All of the products went on sale on the MFT website on Tuesday, January 10th, so they are now available for purchase! Today I made a layout using my new set Love It as well as some other sets that were released. I wanted to show how to make your own patterned paper with stamps - pretty obvious of course, but worth a reminder. I cut wavy designs in some pieces of cardstock and patterned paper. MFT New Product Launch

Today is the day! I get so excited when the week of previews winds up and all the items go up for sale! But before you go to the MFT website to shop, I want to show you a couple of projects I made today using my new stamp set Sunny Day Doodles - Love It! I used a lot of product on this layout and it was really fun to put together! I started with a 12x12 piece of turquoise cardstock and then used the Graduated Dots stencil with some white mist on the background. I also used some white mist dots here and there.
