Tomorrow is the official release of the My Favorite Things November new products and this is the last post showing some of the new sets. They will all go on sale on Tuesday, November 12th at 7:00 pm pst. So come back one more time for more projects from all the DT and to start your shopping spree!
Today, I made a two page 8.5x11 layout using primarily my new set Sweet Little Memories as well as these two sets that I am MADLY PASSIONATELY ADORINGLY IN LOVE WITH! (hope my hubby doesn't read this or he may be jealous of that introduction!). Here they are for you to gooooooooogle over (one was previously released and one is part of this new release):
They made the PERFECT background for a layout about my family participating in the Color Run last month:

I used my new Sweet Little Memories set on the layout in three places. Here are some close up images with descriptions of how I used them.
For this one, I started with a 3x4 piece of smooth white cardstock and stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice ink. I colored it in with two colors of Copic markers - a light green and yellow. I blended them where they overlap. You can blend colors even if they are not part of the same color family and get fairly good results. I love how these letters turned out. Next, I used the smaller abstract art stamps that look like blobs of color all around the sentiment letting some hang over the edges. All of these inks are by MFT and are listed in my supplies below.
For the green oval, I started with the Pierced Oval Stax Die-namics and then stamped "good times" using white Sweet Tooth ink. It is a slow drying ink, so it's perfect for embossing. I then poured clear embossing powder on the ink and used my heat gun to melt it. I used a green Copic marker to color inside the letters and then wiped any off the embossing powder which turned it into a light green color. I also like cutting my stamp images apart and only using a portion of the words. I used the "living the happy life", but cut out just the word happy and then colored it in with markers. This way you can get way more use out of your stamps.
I hope you enjoyed this VERY colorful crazy layout! I'll be back tomorrow with another project for the new product release. Tell me in the comments section what you would like to see more of - do you prefer cards or layouts or tags or project life or something else I haven't thougth of? I'm always looking for new ideas of what to make with the stamps, so any feedback is appreciated! Thanks for visiting - don't forget to check out all of the other DT blogs - and see you tomorrow for SHOPPING TIME!!! xoxo
Can't wait to get my inky little fingers on your newest stamp set. Im beginning to think your doodle line is as addictive as the PI images. Must-have-them-all! ;)
God's blessings on your night!
Sarah :)
