With six days to go...
I'm super excited to share the project I made today with you. I used so many of the new releases on this one! I started with one of my favorite products - the new Die-namics Blueprints 9 set to make this little tag album full of inspirational quotes/thoughts.
I used my die-cut machine to cut out 10 of the tags from the Blueprints set. I backed five of them together to make pages for my tag book above. I used a basic washi tape to hold the pages together. Just lay the five double sided tags next to each other and then add washi tape over the seams of each on both sides and you will end up with this:
Next start working on decorating your little pages. They are JUST the right size for my new stamp set sentiments called Sweet Little Memories. I also used some of the sentiments in my first set, Celebrate Life. And WHO can resist the Doodle Garden Girls - I am completely in love with them!
She is holding a snowball, so I cut it out of her hands and replaced it with some flower die-cuts from the new Die-namics LLD Accent It - Holiday Traditions Elements. Now these little shapes were not MEANT to be flowers, but they work perfectly! I also used several other Die-namics that are listed in the supplies at the end of this post.
I used more sentiments from my new Sweet Little Memories set again on these pages. Can you find my major mistake? This is what happens when daylight savings starts and I run out of sunlight to photograph my projects - I make major mistakes rushing! I used the Dr. Seuss quote TWO TIMES - haha! I am going to fix this and change it for my post tomorrow. For the tag on the right hand page, I stamped it with one of my favorite discoveries in the MFT store - the MPD Distressed background blocks. I knew they were Mona's stamps immediately because they are perfect for mixed media. They add a nice background for the sentiments too! I rubbed some ink on the edges and added some stitching as well. I could spend a lot of time playing with this stamp set (see image in supply list below).
For the back cover (last tag), I used the pocket top that is included in the Blueprints 9 set to create a pocket for a tag. I added some washi around the edges to hold the pocket closed. It's perfect for placing a little love note or momento's into your tag book!
Tomorrow I will be showing you the backside of this little tag album. The reason I made the tags double sided by backing them together is so I can decorate both sides and make this little album really FAT and bulky - just like I like 'em! So come back and visit tomorrow to see the finished product (and a replaced page for my duplicate above!). Thanks for visiting and don't forget to check out all of the design teams creations starting on the MFT blog.
All products will be on sale on November 12th at 7:00 pm pst on the My Favorite Things website. Have a great week! suzy
