My new stamp set is being introduced on the My Favorite Things blog Thursday night, but I'm giving you a sneak peek (ok, full peek) tonight! This is my Christmas set and is full of all my favorite holiday images - things to eat! This set is called Sweet Christmas and is 4" x 8". It will be sold on the My Favorite Things website during the new product tour on Tuesday, October 8th at 7:00 pm pst with all the new releases for October. And with that, here it is:
I love to use my stamps for project life as well as scrapbooking and card making. So I started by making some project life cards with it for my December Daily album. Each of these cards is made using a 3"x4" piece of white cardstock or mixed media paper. I stamped the images using black Colorbox ink and then colored them all in with Copic markers.
After I stamped the images, I added some details with a fine tip black marker such as borders around the edges or lines to journal on as on the card above. I also added ribbon, glitter glue, sequins, and other embellishments. For the sentiment "have a merry christmas", I cut the "have a" from the sweet christmas sentiment stamp and used it on top of the "merry christmas" stamp.
I've always enjoyed using non traditional colors for the holidays - even in my decorations. So I made these two cards with blues and pinks. This color scheme looks great with snowflakes. Again, i added some glitter glue to the images after they were colored and rubbed it over the images with my finger. I also added borders with my markers and some silver opaque marker around the outside edges.
I added some washi tape to the edges of these last cards. The gingerbread card would be cute to attach to a goodie plate with ribbon. The Merry Christmas card could be used as a gift tag. The Our Sweet Treats card could be used to write down your favorite holiday sweet recipe and give away with the treats. Even though I made these as project life insert cards, they could be used for other things as well.
I hope you enjoyed these creations. Tomorrow night, the entire MFT design team will be showcasing the new releases for Day 3 and hopefully we will get to see many different takes on this stamp set. I'll be showing projects using it all week until they go on sale during the New Product Showcase on October 8th at 7:00 pm pst.
I will be giving away two free sets of my Sweet Christmas during the new product release. All comments left on my daily posts until then will be included in the random drawing. Good luck and I hope you enjoy them! Now head on back to the MFT blog to hop to all of the design team blogs to see the new releases for today, day 2 of teaser time! Thanks for visiting! Suzy
